  • The purpose of this study was to apply the modified Kostiakov method to determine the soil infiltration rate and permeated water amount of Thuong River alluvial soil for orange plantations in Lang Giang district, Bac Giang province, Vietnam. The soil particle size ranged from 0.02 to 2.00mm mainly found in the surface horizon (>77.7%). The soil was slightly acidic in the surface horizon, and highly acidic in the subsurface horizons (pHKCl from 3.42 to 4.79). The organic matter content of the surface horizon was mederate, while it was very low in the other horizons.

  • Sequential accumulation of M1 and M2 macrophages is critical for skeletal muscle recovery after an acute injury. While M1 accumulation is believed to rely on monocyte infiltration, the mechanisms of M2 accumulation remain controversial, but could involve an infiltrating precursor.

  • Accumulation of tumor-infiltrating mast cells (MCs) predicts poor survival in several cancers after resection. However, its effect on the prognosis of patients with colorectal liver metastases (CRLM) is not known.

  • Glioma is a common malignant tumours in the central nervous system (CNS), that exhibits high morbidity, a low cure rate, and a high recurrence rate. Currently, immune cells are increasingly known to play roles in the suppression of tumourigenesis, progression and tumour growth in many tumours.

  • Infiltration is a dynamic process, variable in time and space and plays a vital role in the replenishment of soil water which is responsible for the growth and development of crops. Modelling of infiltration equation involves in finding out coefficients in the expressions for the curves infiltration rate and accumulated infiltration verses time and other parameters. The present study is aimed at determining the best fit infiltration model.

  • Particulate matter is arguably the most danger- ous component of automobile exhaust. Particles are small enough to infiltrate nasal, sinus, and bron- chial passages where they can accumulate and cal- cify. Fine PM can penetrate the deepest portions of the lungs and the very smallest particles can be absorbed into the bloodstream. In the nose, throat, and lungs, particulates act as extreme irritants. Exposure to even low levels of PM can cause na- sal congestion, sinusitis, throat irritation, cough- ing, wheezing, shortness of breath, and chest dis- comfort.

  • Histological assessment showed that independently of the etiological factor involved, changes of the mucosa refer both to the gingival epithelium and the lamina propria (Banita et al., 2008, 2011). There is now general agreement that all gingival overgrowth lesions contain fibrotic or expanded connective tissue with various levels of inflammation and an enlarged gingival epithelium. As soon as plaque accumulates adjacent to the gingival margin, inflammatory cells infiltrate in the subjacent connective tissue and initiate its destruction.
