The methylation of SHOX2 and RASSF1A shows promise as a potential biomarker for the early screening of lung cancer, offering a solution to remedy the limitations of morphological diagnosis. The aim of this study is to diagnose lung adenocarcinoma by measuring the methylation levels of SHOX2 and RASSF1A, and provide an accurate pathological diagnosis to predict the invasiveness of lung cancer prior to surgery.

In ebook "Applications of mass spectrometry in life safety" The potential of MS for high-sensitive structural a- lyses became unsurpassable after the introduction of electrospray (ESI) and matrix assisted laser/desorption ionization (MALDI) methods, on one hand, and the pos- bility to deduce in detail unknown biopolymer structures by highly accurate mo- cular mass measurement followed by sequencing using dissociation techniques based on multiple stage MS, on the other.

Laparoscopic colorectal surgery has been proved to have similar oncological outcomes with open surgery. Due to the lack of tactile perception, surgeons may have misjudgments in laparoscopic colorectal surgery. Therefore, the accurate localization of a tumor before surgery is important, especially in the early stages of cancer.

Rectal cancer is one of the most common malignant tumors and has a high incidence rate and fatality rate. Accurate preoperative T staging of rectal cancer is critical for the selection of appropriate rectal cancer treatment. Various pre-operative imaging methods are available, and the identification of the most accurate method for clinical use is essential for patient care.

The risk of recurrence after resection of a stage II or III colon cancer, and therefore qualification for adjuvant chemotherapy (ACT), is traditionally based on clinicopathological parameters. However, the parameters used in clinical practice are not able to accurately identify all patients with or without minimal residual disease.

The origin of sex chromosomes requires the establishment of recombination suppression between the proto-sex chromosomes. In many fish species, the sex chromosome pair is homomorphic with a recent origin, providing species for studying how and why recombination suppression evolved in the initial stages of sex chromosome differentiation, but this requires accurate sequence assembly of the X and Y (or Z and W) chromosomes, which may be difficult if they are recently diverged.

A new epigean species— Roncus khorasanicus sp.n.—is described on the basis of the description of the adult stage (males) found in north-eastern Iran. A detailed description of the selected morphological characters and accurate illustrations of several diagnostic characters of the new species are provided. Moreover, an identification key to the species of the family Neobisiidae from Iran is presented.

Bladder cancer (BC) is a common malignancy neoplasm diagnosed in advanced stages in most cases. It is crucial to screen ideal biomarkers and construct a more accurate prognostic model than conventional clinical parameters. The aim of this research was to develop and validate an mRNA-based signature for predicting the prognosis of patients with bladder cancer.

Research on the faunistics and biogeography of the Cicadidae of Vietnam is at an early stage. However, the cicada fauna of Vietnam is as rich or richer, than any area of comparable size in the world and, based on previous studies, is highly endemic. One of the major aims of the project is to build comprehensive ditribution maps of cicadas for north Vietnam and to accurately document their distribution within the country.

Profiling gene expression in brain structures at various spatial and temporal scales is essential to understanding how genes regulate the development of brain structures. The Allen Developing Mouse Brain Atlas provides high-resolution 3-D in situ hybridization (ISH) gene expression patterns in multiple developing stages of the mouse brain.

Lung cancer is one of the most common types of cancer, among which lung adenocarcinoma accounts for the largest proportion. Currently, accurate staging is a prerequisite for effective diagnosis and treatment of lung adenocarcinoma. Previous research has used mainly single-modal data, such as gene expression data, for classification and prediction.

Chemoradiotherapy (CRT) is an effective modality for stage I esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC). However, salvage treatments are often required even if complete response (CR) has been achieved. To this end, it is important to accurately diagnose lymph node or other organ metastatic recurrences.

Lymph nodes’ examination in colorectal cancer (CRC) resection specimens is an important determinant that aids in the accuracy of CRC staging and treatment outcomes. Current guidelines call for the examination of at least 12 lymph nodes (LN) in resected specimens in order to establish accurate staging.

Accurate detection of patients with minimal residual disease (MRD) after surgery for stage II colon cancer (CC) remains an urgent unmet clinical need to improve selection of patients who might benefit form adjuvant chemotherapy (ACT). Presence of circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) is indicative for MRD and has high predictive value for recurrent disease.

Negative lymph node (NLN) count has been reported to provide more accurate prognostic information than the N stage alone in patients with rectal cancer (RC). Since preoperative radiotherapy (Pre-RT) can significantly affect the LN status, it is unclear whether NLN count still has prognostic value count on survival of patients with RC who received Pre-RT.
