The present study on out planting performance of Ocimum basilicum in field plantation was undertaken to optimize the spacing required for achieving maximum yield and essential oil. Seeds collected locally were sown in a broadcast manner and transplanted later at seedling stage at different spacing viz., S1 (10 cm × 10 cm), S2 (10 cm × 20 cm), S3 (10 cm × 30 cm) and S4 (10 cm × 40 cm). Seeds were sown in well prepared nursery beds in March, 2018.

To achieve high seed vigour, seed priming can be utilized in definite manner in which three organic compounds viz. Naphthalene acetic acid (NAA), Salicylic acid (SA) and Nicotinic acid (NA) in diverse concentrations and treatment durations were applied for present analysis on Oat crop. In assessment of physiological performances of seed, the various parameters linked to seed germination, seedling quality and germination allied enzymes that showed evident disparity among dissimilar priming.

The effect of mass flow rate, volume concentration inlet temperature on heat transfer rate with varied coolant mass flow rate ranging from 6LPM, 8LPM, 10LPM were examined. Results shows that heat transfer rate linearly increases with increase in mass flow rate and volume concentration, the best heat transfer rate is achieved at 0.3% volume fraction of CuO at 10LPM. A maximum enhancement of 35% in heat transfer rate is obtained for 0.3% concentration of CuO nanofluid.

The mathematical relationship between the machining parameters and the performance characteristics was formulated by using a linear regression model with interactions. Optimal levels of parametric combination for achieving the higher surface quality with maximum productivity were selected by grey relational analysis which is based on the high value of grey relational grade. Confirmation experiments were carried out to prove the powerful improvement of experimental results and to validate the effectiveness of the multi-optimization technique applied in this paper.

Timely harvesting of the crop is vital to achieve better quality and higher yield of the crop. To ensure efficient and timely harvesting operation manually drawn battery powered reaper was developed at CAET, JAU, Junagadh. Performance evaluation of developed machine was carried out at different forward speeds (0.8-1.2 km/h,1.3-1.7 km/h and 1.8-2.2 km/h) and different cutter bar speeds (200 rpm, 300 rpm and 400 rpm).

An experimental investigation on the performance of a proposed hybrid desiccant based air conditioning system referred as HDBAC is introduced in this paper. HDBAC is mainly consisted of a liquid desiccant dehumidification unit integrated with a vapor compression system (VCS). The VCS unit has a cooling capacity of 5.27 kW and uses 134a as refrigerant. Calcium chloride (CaCl2) solution is used as the working desiccant material. HDBAC system is used to serve low sensible heat factor applications.

This paper studies the impact of written language variations and the way it affects the capitalization task over time. A discriminative approach, based on maximum entropy models, is proposed to perform capitalization, taking the language changes into consideration.
