  • Mangrove forests, typically found along tropical and subtropical coastlines, have a crucial role in preventing coastal erosion, mitigating the effects of wave actions, and safeguarding coastal habitats. This study utilized PlanetScope mangrove forests and a Combined Mangrove Recognition Index (CMRI), which was suitable for detecting mangrove cover along the coast of Tien Yen district with an overall accuracy of over 93.0% and a Kappa coefficient greater than 0.90 for the selected years.

  • In this paper, we propose to use Mediapipe, which is a Microsoft built-in framework for 3D human pose estimation. The test was evaluated against the MADS (Martial Arts, Dancing, and Sports Dataset) database, in which we focused on sports videos such as: basketball, volleyball, football, rugby, tennis and badminton. The average estimate error is between 100-200mm. The 3D human posture estimation results are a good result in supporting sports analysis.

  • Mangrove forests are intertidal wetlands and found along tropical, subtropical, and warm-temperate coastlines. They have vital functions in preventing coastal erosion, mitigating effects of wave actions, and protecting coastal habitats. However, mangrove forests are more likely to be vulnerable as typhoons frequently hit and under driving human pressures.

  • In this paper, we propose to use Conformal Geometric Algebra (CGA) to feature extraction and reduce dimensions of the data. First, the action data is preprocessed to normalize the data. Next, use CGA to reduce dimensions of data and create feature vectors. Finally, use the LSTM for training and prediction. The experiment was conducted on the CMU dataset with 8 different actions and the results showed that the proposed method has higher results than the previous methods.

  • Action and gesture recognition provides important information for interaction between human and devices that monitors living, healthcare facilities or entertainment activities in smart homes. Recent years, there are many learning machine models studying to recognize human action and gesture. In this paper, we propose a dynamic hand gesture recognition system based on two stream-convolution network (ConvNet) architecture. Besides, we also modify the method to enhance its performance that is suitable for indoor application.

  • This paper presents a fast and simple method for human action recognition. The proposed technique relies on detecting interest points using SIFT (scale invariant feature transform) from each frame of the video. A fine-tuning step is used here to limit the number of interesting points according to the amount of details. Then the popular approach Bag of Video Words is applied with a new normalization technique. This normalization technique remarkably improves the results. Finally a multi class linear Support Vector Machine (SVM) is utilized for classification.
