Two small genera of the subfamily Braconinae, Angustibracon Quicke, 1987 and Pseudospinaria Enderlein, 1905, are reported for the first time from Vietnam. Two Angustibracon species, Angustibracon leptogaster Cameron and Angustibracon maculiabdominis Zhou & You and one Pseudospinaria species, Pseudospinaria attenuata (Westwood) are newly recorded for Vietnam’s braconid fauna. Additionally, the species are redescribed and illustrated. An illustrated key to the two known Augustibracon species and a mapped distribution of species in Vietnam are also given.

In this study, numerous Grateloupia spp. collected from coastal Vietnam and voucher specimens were used for morphological observation and phylogenetic analyses. Both analyses for samples collected at Nha Trang reveal a new record of G. yangjiangensis. The phylogenetic trees indicated that the herbarium vouchers labeled ‘G filicina’ and ‘G. livida’ from other locations of Vietnam group to G. yinggehaiensis clade. In addition, the phylogenetic trees also showed that the unknown Grateloupia sp. recently collected from Cat Ba Island is Phyllymenia taiwanensis. Therefore, a new record, G.

This systematic review aims to assess how information from unstructured text is used to develop and validate clinical prognostic prediction models. We summarize the prediction problems and methodological landscape and determine whether using text data in addition to more commonly used structured data improves the prediction performance.

The Supreme Court recently overturned settled case law that affirmed a pregnant individual’s Constitutional right to an abortion. While many states will commit to protect this right, a large number of others have enacted laws that limit or outright ban abortion within their borders. Additional efforts are underway to prevent pregnant individuals from seeking care outside their home state.

Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) can detect images from cameras installed on self-driving cars. First, we drove a car on a simulator and recorded frames from three cameras: left, right, and center. These frames were recorded at the rate of 30 frames per second. Additional data recorded were the distribution of steering angles, average velocity, etc. were passed through a CNN to train a self-driving system.

Kurniwan et al. (2010) specified the distribution of F. cancrivora to the south of the Isthmus of Kra and a large area in the North of the Isthmus of Kra, including Vietnam, is the distribution range of F. moodiei, but the samples analyzed in that study did not include samples collected from Vietnam. Based on the results of morphological and genetic analyses on two mitochondrial gene fragments (16S and Cytb) of populations of Fejervarya moodiei and F. cacrivora, this study confirmed that the Northern Crab-eating Frog F. moodiei distributed in Vietnam.

A small rhacophorid, Philautus petilus known from only the female holotype, is recorded for the first time outside of the type locality in Laos. Three specimens, containing the first known males of the species, were collected from Muong Nhe Nature Reserve in Dien Bien Province, northwestern Vietnam. The Vietnamese specimens are identified as P. petilus based on morphological similarities with the holotype from Laos. In addition, our molecular data verify the transfer of this species from Philautus to the genus Theloderma.

In this paper "New provincial records of skinks (Squamata: Scincidae) from northwestern Vietnam", we report six new records of skinks from northwestern Vietnam: Eutropis macularius, Scincella devorator, S. monticola, S. ochracea, Sphenomorphus cryptotis and S. indicus. Our new findings increase the species number of skinks (Scincidae) to nine in Dien Bien Province and to 14 in Son La Province. We also provide additional natural history data of aforementioned species.

The aim of this study is to evaluate additional findings which can be detected by post-contrast computed tomography (CCT) in relation to plain CT (PCT) findings in patients presented with head trauma. Medical records of canine patients with the history of head trauma from three institutions were reviewed. PCT- and CCTanonymized images were evaluated by a veterinary radiologist separately.

Wet periods are evidenced by dark olive green mixed lithology (sandy, clay, and silts) and high values in MS and log(Sr/Ca). On the other hand, dry periods are associated with light olive green clayey mud lithology and high values in log(Ca/K). We relate the wet periods to negative North Atlantic Oscillation (NAO–) and the dry periods to NAO+. Additionally, all wet periods are related with time of low solar activity and dry periods, except Dalton Minimum, are related with periods of high solar activity.

Genus Terellia Robineau-Desvoidy, 1830 includes approximately 60 species throughout the Palearctic region. Larvae of Terellia develop in the flowerheads of the family Asteraceae. In this study, the authors collected species of Terellia from possible host plants in the summer of 2009 and 2017 in northeastern Turkey using an insect net. Collected materials were pinned and deposited in the Gaziantep University Entomology Laboratory. Upon identification, Terellia (Cerajocera) akguli sp. nov. has been described as a new species and placed in the subgenus Cerajocera. Also, T. (C.

This paper presents the first results of a study on the Scaptognathus (Acari: Halacaridae) mites from the Mediterranean Sea coast of Turkey. Two species, S. hallezi Trouessart, 1894 and S. sabularius André, 1961, are newly recorded from Turkey. They are briefly described with drawings, habitats, and worldwide distributions. Additionally, a checklist is provided for the marine halacarid species of Turkey.

In this paper, Palaearctic material of the genus Lobrathium Mulsant & Rey from many museums was studied. Lobrathium azizsancari sp. nov. from Turkey was described, illustrated, and distinguished from related congeners. Additional records of 14 Lobrathium species, among them four new country records, were reported. These were L. anale (Lucas) from Libya, L. multipunctum (Fauvel) from Montenegro, L. lederi (Eppelsheim) from Armenia, and L. rugipenne (Hochhuth) from Azerbaijan. Distributional map and a checklist of the Lobrathium species of Turkey were presented.
