The present study was conducted in Adilabad district of Telangana to study the profile and employment generation of tribal farmers. Total 120 respondents were randomly selected for the study and interviewed. Most of the (47.50 %) respondents belonged to medium category followed by low (30.80%) and high (21.70%) employment generation.

The present study was conducted in Adilabad district of Telangana to study the profile and employment generation of tribal farmers. Total 120 respondents were randomly selected for the study and interviewed. Most of the (44.10 %) respondents belonged to medium category followed by low (39.20%) and high (16.70%) income generation. The results of the investigation it was found that farm size, training received, credit orientation, achievement motivation, social support, extension contact and mass media exposure had a positive and significant correlation with the income generation.

This study was conducted in Adilabad, Khammam and Warangal districts of Telangana. Ex post-facto research design was followed in this study, since different variables chosen for the study had already occurred. An effort was made to document the indigenous technology of tribal farmers. For testing the rationality of the ITKs, a questionnaire containing lists of ITKs was prepared and exposed to the scientists for judging their rationality and validity on a three point scale wherein, 3 is rational, 2 undecided and 1 is irrational.

To supplement the livelihoods of tribal women and nutritional security in Tribal villages of Adilabad district of Telangana state, Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Adilabad introduced Backyard Poultry (BYP) as a livelihood opportunity to the tribal women farmers. Under the Backyard Poultry 200 tribal women farmers were selected from the 8 adopted villages of KVK, Adilabad by Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA) techniques. Every tribal women farmer was given 10 Rajashree birds as a unit with a worth of Rs.680 and few supplementary medicines and vaccines were also supplied.

A total of 90 sample comprising 60 tribal women and 30 grass root level women extension personnel (Anganwadi workers) from three mandals of Adilabad district were selected using random sampling technique.
