Adoption of entrepreneurial activities

The objective of the present study was to identify the problems faced by NGOs trainees in adoption of entrepreneurial activities. The study was conducted in Gogunda and Kherwara panchayat samities of Udaipur district of Rajasthan state. From each panchayat samiti, two villages where the entrepreneurial activities have been promoted by the NGOs since last five years were included in the study.

Krishi Vigyan Kendra, a planned scheme of Indian Council of Agricultural Research plays vital role by organizing various mandatory programmes to the women for their empowerment in respect of knowledge and adoption of technology for the augmentation of crop production, food security, livelihood security, etc. KVK emphasizes on women empowerment through formation and functioning of SHG and providing training on entrepreneurial training which helps them to develop self confidence, attitude, motivation, economic independence, decision making, leadership, social mobility, etc.

Small and Medium Enterprises are the driving force for the promotion of an economy. Due to its significance, all the countries either, developed or developing, are concentrating on the development of SME‟s. It is admitted fact that encouraging entrepreneurship is a key to improve competitiveness, boost trade volume, fostering economic activities and creation of job opportunities. Small enterprises are considered as main driver for innovation, poverty reduction, employment generation and social integration.
