  • The reduction behavior of fenoxaprop-p-ethyl (FNX) was studied on a hanging mercury drop electrode. FNX showed 2 reduction peaks at about –0.7 V and at about –0.9 V versus Ag/AgCl/3.0 M KCl in Britton–Robinson buffer at pH 4.8. Both reductions were irreversible and adsorption was effective. The reduction peaks were assigned to the reduction of C=N to CH–NH and the reduction of C=O to CH–OH. Square-wave voltammetry has been proposed and validated for quantification of FNX in different samples.

  • NH3 adsorption and desorption behavior of a commercial Cu-chabazite (CHA) NH3 selective catalytic reduction (NH3 -SCR) catalyst was studied in the presence and absence of H2O. NH3 uptake values at various adsorption temperatures were obtained during various steps of the adsorption and temperature-programmed desorption (TPD) experiments. Total NH3 uptake decreased from 4.6 to 1.6 g NH3/L catalyst when the adsorption temperature was increased from 50 to 300◦C.

  • The purpose of this study was to compare the adsorption behavior of cationic and anionic dyes onto a hexagonal boron nitride (hBN) nanostructure that was rich in a negative charge. Herein, the hBN nanostructure was synthesized using boric acid as a precursor material. The characteristic peaks of the hBN nanostructure were performed using Fourier transform infrared (FT-IR) and Raman spectroscopies. The morphology and the particle size of hBN nanostructure were determined by transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM).

  • Herein, an adsorptive stripping linear sweep voltammetric technique was described to determine spiramycin, a macrolide antibiotic, using a carboxylic multiwalled glassy carbon electrode modified with carbon nanotubes. The main principle of the analytical methodology proposed was based on the preconcentration of spiramycin by open-circuit accumulation of the macrolide onto the modified electrode surface. As a result of the adsorption affinity of spiramycin to the modified surface, the sensitivity of the glassy carbon electrode was significantly increased for the determination of spiramycin.

  • In the present work, diethanol amine modified polystyrene based polymer (PVBC-Diethanol amine) was synthesized and characterized, then surface properties of the polymer were examined by inverse gas chromatography method at infinite dilution. The retention diagrams obtained based on the interaction of polar and nonpolar probes with the polymer were drawn over a temperature range from 30 to 55 °C.

  • The aim of this research work was to study the effect of deposition current density on microstructure and surface morphology of electrodeposited nickel coatings. For this purpose, nickel deposits have been synthesized by direct current from Watts bath without additive, to limit the incorporation of pollutants resulting from surface adsorption or electro-activity of these compounds. Nickel deposits have been investigated by scanning electron microscopy and X-ray diffraction. Cyclic voltammetry was also used to gain information on the general behavior of the deposition.
