The main objective of this paper is to categorize the available literature (analytical/experimental). The discussion remains descriptive, and the reader is recommended to consult the cited references for specifics on parameters and mathematical models. Three phases were adopted to conduct this literature review: (a) conducting the review, (b) conducting the analysis, and (c) writing up the review.

Cellulose nano fibers (CNF) are being considered as potential material for producing aerogel, an advanced materials for filtration technology. In this study, CNF were extracted from the sugarcance bagasse (a common agricultural waste) using ultrasonic technology and then fabricated with different additives including polyvinyl alcohol (PVA), polyethylene glycol (PEG) and graphene oxide (GO) to formulate aerogels.

English of High school curriculum is intended as a purposefully spiral ramp, which means students meet the same learning material three times with increasing difficulty during high school time. If students master this, it does not matter. Otherwise, it would be a big problem for them to continue their studies afterwards especially at university or at future work. I have chosen this topic in hope to help students be more confident in writing reports at medium or intermediate levels and then towards more difficult or advanced levels.

This review explores recent ML advancements in assessing corrosion in RC structures. Various algorithms, such as Artificial Neural Networks (ANNs), Gene Expression Programming (GEP), Extreme Gradient Boosting (XGBoost), Support Vector Machine (SVM) and Ensemble Learning, have shown potential in estimating corrosion processes, predicting material properties, and evaluating structural durability.

This Master's thesis aims to document the research process into the synthesis of 2D AlPO4 via a liquid metal synthesis pathway. The synthesised 2D AlPO4 will then undergo qualitative and structural analysis, after which it will be characterised via advanced techniques to determine piezoelectric characteristics, as well as the exploration of the ability of the synthesised material to absorb heavy metals.

The recent advances in the study of the unique capabilities of monolayer crystals had predicted piezoelectricity in two-dimensional (2D) group IV chalcogenides which are not present in their bulk forms. In this study, the predicted piezoelectric properties of was experimentally explored through Piezoelectric Force Microscopy (PFM). Tin Sulfide (SnS), Tin Selenide (SnSe), Germanium Sulfide (GeS), were exfoliated from their bulk forms by the top down methods of liquid sonication, while and Tin Disulfide (SnS2) mechanically exfoliated by tape.

Morphing wings were once in the common in early aviation however due to a lack of strong and lightweight materials they were abandoned in favour of conventional wings. Due to the recent advances in smart technologies, morphing wings has become of interest in aviation. This paper proposes the use of internal mechanisms to promote morphing in a wing to increase aerodynamic performance as opposed to the smart technologies. To determine the aerodynamic superiority of the morphing wing it was compared to a conventional wing of the same geometry.

The present investigation was under taken with the objectives to estimate genetic variability, heritability and genetic advance for yield and yield contributing components of cucumber. The experimental materials for this investigation were fourteen genotypes of cucumber consisting of parthenocarpic, gynoecious and monecious germplasms crossed in line × tester mating design produced thirty three hybrids (F1). Thirty three F1 crosses along with their parents were evaluated in two environments viz.

This paper describes the preparation, optical properties and the role of the concentration of rare earth ions (RE: Eu, Er, Tb, Yb) as active centers in the energy transfer of Y2O3: RE nanophosphors. The materials are prepared by the combustion method using urea or glycine. Nanoparticles can be prepared with sizes ranging from 5 to 100 nm and can be estimated by high resolution TEM. Optimization of Eu and Er content in these nanophosphors was reported. The effect of energy transfer between Tb and Eu and the up-conversion between Er and Yb were studied.
