Agricultural supply chain

The article analyzes significant changes that have taken place in the development of the rural sector of Ukraine by sustainable supply chain development, which includes two components: agrarian (agriculture and technologically related industries) and rural areas (spatial base of production and resettlement of the population) of the second half of the last century. Current problems are revealed and the prospects of the rural sector functioning, through the prism of different concepts of productive forces development, are outlined.

The study is descriptive but quantitative data collected through the administered structured questionnaire interpreted and presented exploratory with explanations for the primary understanding. The need for finding the relationship and to get the understanding of effect of producer’s variable with vertically coordinated agricultural supply chain variables that can measure the efficiency of agricultural supply chain and can develop the optimized equation is the main idea behind the study.

The article deals with the supply chain management of development of agricultural production and marketing. At the same time, an assessment of the agrarian policy pursued is given, recommendations are made to solve the problems of agricultural production and the processing industry, and to improve agriculture in technical support. As well, the article examines the problems of production and sale of agricultural products, analyzes the effectiveness and disadvantages of the programs provided by the state to the development of agricultural production.

The article presents the results of an economic and statistical analysis of the effect of zonal conditions on the supply chain (supply chain) of products, production and cost of products for growing and fattening cattle separately from dairy and meat cows. Typological groupings of agricultural organizations of the Republic of Bashkortostan based on average annual data for 2014-2016 were used as a toolkit of analysis, which made it possible to obtain more reliable estimates compared with the grouping for a particular year.

The authors used prospective estimates of revenue and expenses for ordinary activities, obtained on the basis of a multiplicative trend-seasonal model to predict the profit of an agricultural enterprise. The study draws attention to the fact that the classical decomposition of the trend-seasonal model into trend, seasonal and random components is possible and convenient for forecasting the financial performance of an agricultural enterprise that has seasonality in crop and livestock production.

In this paper, the authors considered theoretical approaches to family farming as a special form of social-and-economic organization, which is the most reliable mechanism for mass recruitment of rural population into the economy and optimization of material and information flows, cooperative ties of value creating participants in order to satisfy consumers in comparison with large agricultural holdings. The US experience indicates the possibility of harmonious combination of developed industry and commodity family farms in economic complexes.

This study is conducted to build an assessment scale on stakeholders' readiness level to apply blockchain technology to the agricultural supply chain. By referencing the theoretical model of Technology - Organization - Environment (TOE) combined with the qualitative research step, the study proposed a new scale with 65 observed items and 18 factors.
