The main purpose of this study was to investigate the job productivity of the Assistant Technology Managers. A survey of 60 Assistant Technology Managers was conducted in Assam Agricultural University, Jorhat. Job productivity was measured with a selfevaluation mail questionnaire. The study found that the majority of the ATMs (71.66%) belonged to medium level of job productivity, followed by 20.00% and 8.33% belonging to low and high level of job productivity, respectively.

The State Agriculture Management and Extension Training Institute (SAMETI) as a part of Agricultural Technology Management Agency (ATMA) programme. SAMETI (N) conducts HRD activities in thirteen northern districts of Karnataka and is located in University of Agricultural Sciences, Dharwad, Karnataka. The present study has been carried out to know the effectiveness of training programmes of SAMETI (N) on extension functionaries during 2019 in Belgaum, Dharwad and Gadag districts.

The ATMA model is a central government initiative in the year 2005-06, which was designed to be implemented by each state at the district level.. In 2005 the Government of India expanded the ATMA model to 252 districts under SSEPER, and then in 2007 to all districts of the country. At district level the ATMA would be gradually more responsible for all the technology dissemination activities.

Agriculture Technology Management Agency (ATMA) is a registered society which involves key stakeholders to perform agriculture activities for sustainable agricultural development at district level. ATMA is having linkage with all the line departments, research institutions, Non-Governmental Organizations and agencies associated with agriculture development in the district. The study was carried out during 2016-17 in six southern districts of Karnataka state to analyze the attitude of extension field functionaries towards ATMA.

In Bihar, Agricultural Technology Management Agency (ATMA) were registered as an autonomous institution and operationalized in four districts viz., Muzaffarpur, Madhubani, Munger and Patna districts in year1999, 2000, 2001 and 2002 respectively across the State. ATMA programme at present under implementation in all the 38 districts of the state. The ATMA programme several strategies followed such as mobilization of farmers and farm women are organised into FIGs/SHGs, providing them training on new technology and promoting them to start their own agri-enterprise.

The present study was carried out in the 4 Districts of Manipur to access the level of role performance as perceived by the agricultural extension personnel (Assistant technology manager) in the revitalized extension system in Manipur. A purposive sampling technique was followed and statistical methods such as frequency, percentage, standard deviation, Pearson product moment coefficient of correlation and multiple regression analysis were used for analysing the data. The present study was carried out in Kolar and Chikkaballapura districts of Karnataka state during 2018-2019 to assess the knowledge of ragi growers towards Agricultural Technology Management Agency (ATMA) and also to find out the extent of participation of ragi growers in the extension activities organized under ATMA. The agricultural sector faces daunting challenges because of climate change, particularly amidst increasing global water scarcity, which threatens irrigated lowland rice production. By 2025, 15-20 million ha of irrigated rice is estimated to suffer from some degree of scarcity. Rice systems provide a major source of calories for more than half of the world‟s population; however, they also use more water than other major crops. Irrigated lowland rice not only consumes more water but also causes wastage of water resulting in degradation of land.
