A field experiment was conducted at Udaipur during the 2019-20 Rabi season to assess the effect of sowing dates and varieties on phenology and agrometeorological indices of mustard. The experiment consisted of three dates of sowing (D1- 21st October, D2- 1 st November and D3- 16th November) as main plot treatments and sub-plot treatments consisted of five varieties (V1- Bio-902, V2- Giriraj, V3- RH-0749, V4- NRCHB-101 and V5- NRCDR-2) in a split plot design.

The field experiment was conducted at Agronomy Farm, Anand Agricultural University, Anand (Lat.: 220 35’ N, Log.: 720 55’ E & 45.1 m above msl) during rabi season in 2011- 2012. The treatment comprised of five levels of irrigation schedule Viz., I1 (CRI, TL, BT, FL, ML, SD), I2 (0.4 IW: CPE ratio), I3 (0.6 IW: CPE ratio), I4 (0.8 IW: CPE ratio) and I5 (1.0 IW: CPE ratio) in randomized block design (RBD) within four replications. The main aim is to quantify the agrometeorological indices of wheat crop.

A field experiment was conducted during Kharif season of 2015 at Chaudhary Charan Singh Haryana Agricultural University, Rice Research Station, Kaul, India to study the phenology, and various agrometeorological indices viz., accumulated growing degree days (GDD), helio thermal units (HTU), photo thermal units (PTU), radiation use efficiency (RUE) and heat use efficiency (HUE) of basmati rice cultivars grown under different dates of transplanting. The rice varieties CSR 30, HB 2, PB 1121 and PB 1509 were transplanted on three dates viz., 25th June, 10th July and 25th July.

A field experiment was conducted during Rabi season 2016-17 at Farm Research Centre, College of Forestry, SHUATS, Allahabad to calculate agro-meteorological indices of wheat crop under three date of sowing i.e. 5th November, 15th November and 25th November and three variety i.e. HD-2967, PBW-502, PBW-154. Wheat crop sown on 5th November utilised more thermal and heat units as compared to 15th November and 25th November sown crops. The shortening of the duration of the crop sown late was due to forced maturity because of higher temperature during reproductive phase of the crop.

An investigation on effect of sowing time on growth, phenology and yield attribute of summer groundnut (Arachis hypogaea L.) was conducted at Agrometeorological Station Farm, School of Forestry and Environment, SHIATS-Deemed-To-Be-University, Allahabad during crop season 2013. Sixteen treatment combinations with four dates of sowing (1st March, 11th March, 21st March and 31st March) and four varieties (HNG-69, R2(Girnar-2), HNG-10 and M-13) were tried in split plot design with four replications.

Field experiment was conducted during Rabi season of 2010-11 and 2011-12 at Research farm of CCS Haryana Agricultural University, Hisar, India to study agrometeorological indices on phenology and yield of wheat cultivars as influenced by Late, very late sown heat stress condition. The experiment was laid out in split plot design with two sowing time viz., late (16th Dec.) and very late (5th Jan.) in main plot and four late sown genotypes (PBW 373, WH 1021, PBW 590 and PBW 550) in sub plots with three replications.

Luit and TTB-404 grown in different micro climatic regimes created by manipulating the sowing as well as transplanting dates. Both the cultivars were sown on four different dates at fifteen days interval starting from 26 June, 2015 upto 10 August, 2015 following field layout factorial RBD. Agroclimatic indices viz.

A study was carried out in 2016-17 and 2017-18 growing seasons with 4 different “barley” cultivars viz., V1-BH 393, V2-BH 902, V3-BH 946 and V4-BH 885 sown under different growing environments, i.e., D1- 3 rd November; D2- 18th November; D3- 3 rd December and D4- 19th December. The correlations among growth, weather and agrometeorological parameters, yield and yield attributes, soil moisture and canopy temperature were investigated using correlation analysis during vegetative and reproductive phases of crop. Yield studies had positive association with growth parameters during both phases.
