  • Instead of handling fuzzy sets associated with linguistic (L-) labels based on the developers’ intuition immediately, the study follows the hedge algebras (HA-) approach to the time series forecasting problems, in which the linguistic time series forecasting model was, for the first time, proposed and examined in 2020.

  • A key problem in the analysis of mathematical models of molecular networks is the determination of their steady states. The present paper addresses this problem for Boolean network models, an increasingly popular modeling paradigm for networks lacking detailed kinetic information.

  • This article is about quantification semantics of linguistic terms embedded in Complete Linear Hedge Algebras and a application in querying in the database having the linguistic terms. The calculation is done both to the language values and real numbers. Query results are quite reasonable.

  • The present study deals with the review study of CGE model. The CGE model as general algebraic framework was developed from micro level economic fundamentals and used in the calibration of model through economic data in Social Accounting Matrix (SAM), to solve the equilibrium value of economic variables by forming numerical equations and for suggesting the policy framework by simulating major economic variables and observing its impact on the entire economic system.

  • A numerical investigation of turbulent swirling flows through an abrupt expansion tube is reported. The TEFESS code, based on a staggered Finite Volume approach with the standard kε model and first-order numerical schemes built-in, was used to carry out all the computations. The code has been modified in the present work to incorporate the ASM and two second-order numerical schemes.

  • In this paper, we propose a new probabilistic relational database model, denoted by PRDB, as an extension of the classical relational database model where the uncertainty of relational attribute values and tuples are respectively represented by finite sets and probability intervals. A probabilistic interpretation of binary relations on finite sets is proposed for the computation of their probability measures. The combination strategies on probability intervals are employed to combine attribute values and compute uncertain membership degrees of tuples in a relation.

  • In herein presented work, the relation between number of ES iterations and convergence of the whole GPA-ES hybrid algorithm will be studied due to increasing needs to analyze and model large data sets. Evolutionary algorithms are applicable in the areas which are not covered by other artificial intelligence or soft computing techniques like neural networks and deep learning like search of algebraic model of data.

  • In this model, the membership degree of tuples in a fuzzy relation is represented by fuzzy numbers on [0, 1], and fuzzy relational algebraic operations are defined by using the extension principle for computing minimum and maximum values of such fuzzy numbers.

  • The study will further discuss the novel real-world-semantics-based approach (RWSapproach) to the interpretability of fuzzy systems proposed in [8] to show that the RWS-interpretability of fuzzy systems in this approach is very essential and practical. It is also analyzed that the usual theories as in mathematics and physics are all RWS-interpretable or, roughly speaking, they are able to model their real-world parts, properly.

  • This paper introduces a complete extended relational database model based on probability theory and fuzzy theory, called FPRDB, for representing and handling vague and uncertain information of objects in real world applications. FPRDB is built by first extending probabilistic triples with fuzzy sets, associating the probability of such fuzzy sets for expressing and computing uncertain degree of imprecise information.
