In this paper, we build a quadcopter for target tracking by integrating a embedded computer Raspberry Pi (RPI) with a Pixhawk flight controller. This article also proposes a lightweight Tracking algorithm that can be deployed on Raspberry Pi, this algorithm harnesses advanced image processing and computing capabilities to significantly enhance target tracking performance, thereby reducing the need for human intervention control in unmanned flights.

The paper proposes a type of block cipher algorithm based on cryptographic hash function and public key cryptography. The algorithm proposed here is capable of verifying the origin and integrity of the encrypted message. On the other hand, establishing a shared secret key between the sender/encryptor and the receiver/decryptor can be done for each message separately.

This paper combines a heterodyne interferometer and a real-time SDR phase meter, demonstrating an ultrasonic vibration instrument’s high-speed vibrating measurement capabilities. A double-pass interferometer is implemented to produce interference signals modulated with a sine waveform phase change associated with a tool’s ultrasonic vibrating displacement, calculated by the phase meter’s quadrature demodulation algorithm.

This paper describes the development of Hole Recognition System (HRS) for Computer-Aided Process Planning (CAPP) using a neutral data format produced by CAD system. The geometrical data of holes is retrieved from STandard for the Exchange of Product model data (STEP). Rule-based algorithm is used during recognising process. Current implementation of feature recognition is limited to simple hole features. Test results are presented to demonstrate the capabilities of the feature recognition algorithm.

The results obtained showed that the proposed algorithm was capable of finding the optimal solution in most cases when considering a time limit of 500 seconds. The methodology is also applied to solve a real-life instance that arises in the transportation system in Colombia (2 depots and 719 services), resulting in a decrease of the required fleet size and a balanced allocation of services, thus reducing deadhead trips.
