The biodiversity of Ba Vi National Park has been faced with some passive impacts, one of them is alien species, that habitats for the native species is narrowed by increasing of invasive population expanding, it is necessary to conducted a research on the impacts of the invasive plants there and then giving the basis for better management of the national park.

Trianthema portulacastrum L. (Aizoaceae) is a common weed associated with cultivated crops. It is an exotic weed that originated in South Africa and is spreading all over the world. Thirty-five accessions were collected from six populations at Fayoum depression (FD), Egypt. Molecular analyses of start codon targeted (SCoT) markers were performed to identify genotypic variation among collected populations. The effectiveness of employing SCoT markers was demonstrated by the high percentage of polymorphisms.

The study accessed the threat level of Mimosa pigra, Eupatorium odoratum and Eichhornia crassipes to flora in Tram Chim National Park by using the tour survey and standard quadrat setting method. Regarding canal and swamp habitats, Eichhornia crassipes had a very high threat level (IVI = 155.80% and the level 4 of association), reaching highest point in the rainy season.

Invasion by alien perennial weed Mikania micrantha has created a serious problems in Southeast Asia. This climbing vine possesses very fast growth rate and could multiply from seed and vegetative parts. It climbs on other plants, create a dense cover and block sunlight thereby damage or kill the other plant. It compete for water, soil nutrient and release allele-chemicals inhibiting growth of plants. The weed creates economic loss to plantation, horticultural crops, displaces and kills native vegetation. Cyperus entrerianus Boeckeler, an invasive alien plant from South America, is newly recorded from Vietnam. A morphological description, color illustrations, line drawings and distinguishable morphological characters of C. entrerianus from C. surinamensis and C. luzulae were provided, additionally and short notes, and habitat of the species were also given.

Urdbean has narrow genetic base due to common ancestry of various superior genotypes, poor plant type and genetic vulnerability to biotic and abiotic stresses. The underutilized related specie, V. umbellata (ricebean), nutritive and resistant to most of the fungal pathogens, is speculated to be potential donor. Therefore, V. mungo and V. umbellata were crossed with a view to introgress alien genes. On inter-specific hybridization, the presence of pre-fertilization barriers and post-fertilization barriers were observed. As, hybrids exhibited reduced germination and sterility.

Artemisia lancea Vaniot, A. argyi H.Lév. & Vaniot, and A. lavandulaefolia DC., all native from eastern Asia, are reported as new alien taxa from Romania. A. lancea has not been recorded so far in Europe, while A. argyi and A. lavandulaefolia are naturalised in the European part of the former USSR.

The impact status of invasive species in the Hoi An mainland part is more serious than the situation in the islands. Base on the results, we suggest that, five species, beggar-ticks, coast morning glory Bay Biscayne creeping-oxeye, Blue porterweed and billygoat-weed should be added in the invasive appendix of the national invasive species list while three other species as vilfa stellata, guavaand rose myrtle should be listed in the potential appendix of that list.

They can be introduced into Canada from other countries or continents, or from one region of Canada to another. The current threats posed by invasive alien plants are real and growing. Why are invasive alien plants a problem? The economic cost of invasive alien plants to Canadians is enormous. Weeds in crops and pastures alone cost an estimated $2.2 billion annually.
