Crinum latifolium and C. asiaticum are the two species of genus Crinum, Amaryllidaceae family and they have highly medicinal values. Distinction between two species is challenging due to many similar morphological characteristics. In this study, we used molecular makers to distinguish the two species Crinum latifolium and C. asiaticum.

Onion (Allium cepa) also known as bulb onion or common onion, is a vegetable crop that belongs to family Amaryllidaceae and the most widely cultivated species of genus Allium. Onion is an important horticultural commodity grown worldwide for their culinary purposes and medicinal values. Indian onions are famous for their pungency and are available round the year. One cup of chopped onion contains approximately 64 calories, 15gm of carbohydrate, 0 gm of fat, 0 gm of sugar, 2gm of protein and10 percent or more of the daily value for vitamin c, vit-B-6.

Onion is one of the most important bulb crop grown all over the world. Onion belongs to family „Amaryllidaceae” and locally known as Pyaj. The experiment was carried out during Kharif season of 2016-2017 at Tirhut College of Agriculture Dholi experimental farm, Dholi (Muzaffarpur), a campus of Dr. Rajendra Prasad Central Agricultural University, Pusa (Samastipur), Bihar. The experiment was laid out in RBD (Randomized Block Design) with ten treatments and three replication. The crop was planted in a plot (size 3m × 2m) at a spacing of 15 cm × 10 cm.

Tuberose (Polianthes tuberosa L.) is a perennial, bulbous flowering plant, belongs to family Amaryllidaceae. The study was conducted at postharvest research laboratory, Department of CIHAB, Palli Siksha Bhavana, Visva-Bharti, Sriniketan, Bolpur during the period of May 2014 to June 2014. Treatment details of experiment consists of T1= Control, T2= Sucrose 2.5%, T3= Sucrose 5%, T4= Citric acid 2.5%, T5= Citric acid 5%, T6= AgNO3 15ppm, T7= AgNO3 30ppm, T8= Sucrose 2.5% + Citric acid 2.5%, T9= Sucrose 2.5% + Citric acid 5%, T10= Sucrose 2.5% + AgNO3 15ppm and T11= Sucrose 5% + AgNO3 25ppm.

Daffodil (Narcissus spp.) belongs to family Amaryllidaceae and is a bulbous perennial grown for attractive flower, borne in spring sometimes autumn or winter. The present study was carried out to assess the genetic diversity present in daffodils in temperate region of Kashmir India using eleven sample sequence repeats (SSR’s). Twenty seven genotypes of daffodils belonging to different species such as Narcissus incomparabilis, Narcissus pseudonarcissus, Narcissus jonquilla, Narcissus poeticus, Narcissus papyraceus were evaluated for molecular characterization.
