Having started the exploration of rare earth elements (REE) since the early 1958 and currently ranked the second in the world in term of REE potential, only after China, the REE exploration and production industry in Vietnam is still in an early stage of exploration and production due to a number of reasons, including lacks of investment, testing and mining experiences, up-to-date technology, good development policy and adequate guidance regulations.
