Economic growth in India agricultural sector lags behind growth in industry and services, creating an ever widening rural-urban income gap. Agricultural mechanization plays a key role in improving agricultural production and productivity in developing countries. The average farm size in India is small 1.16 hand small and marginal land holdings less than 2.0 ha account for 85% of land holdings. Mechanization small and non-contiguous group of small farms is against economics of scale for individual ownership of farm machinery.

The Present study was carried out at Bharatpur district of Eastern Rajasthan during 2015- 16, 2016-17 and 2017-18. Potato is one of the most important vegetable crops of the country. The development of the Agriculture is primarily depends on the application of the scientific technologies by making the best use of available resources. One of the major constraints of traditional potato farming is low productivity due to non management of weeds. To increase the production, productivity and quality of agricultural produce, on farm testing are being conducted at various farmers’ field.

In this paper, the dataset to be collated from 401 migrant and local workers will be analyzed to define primary factors affecting such gap and changes in income. Additionally, Mincer’s equations, Oaxaca-Blinder decomposition technique, and the quantile regression model by Koenker and Bassett are utilized to facilitate the analysis.
