A validated liquid chromatography method employing a fluorescence detector for the determination of ochratoxin A (OTA) was developed with double internal standard and it was applied to ten different poultry feeds. The analysis was performed in an octadecyl silane column using a solvent system [ACN:water:formic acid (50:50:1.25, v/v/v)] by isocratic elution. The flow rate and injection volume were 1 mL min−1 and 12 µL, respectively.

The purpose of this study is to determine the appropriate level of chicken manure for the green fodder M. oleifera grown for leaf meal production as a supplement into poultry diet to improve poultry product quality (i.e., meat and egg). The experiment was conducted at Thai Nguyen University of Agriculture and Forestry, Vietnam, for two years from 2018 to 2019. Heat stress is one of the most challenging environmental conditions affecting commercial poultry. Compared to other species of domestic animals, broiler chickens are more sensitive to high ambient temperatures. They have no sweat glands, a rapid metabolism and high body temperature. Supplementation of ascorbic acid (vitamin C) has been found to improve feed intake, body weight gain, feed efficiency, nutrient digestibility, immune response and antioxidant status in poultry.

The supplementation of animal feed with phytase enables the assimilation of phosphate in the feed ingredients and diminishes the amount of phosphate in the manure and subsequently reaching the environment (Nasi, 1990). Maize genotype with effective tillers was developed from a natural mutant with ineffective tillers at Central Research Institute for Dryland Agriculture, Hyderabad, India. Teosinte (Zea mays ssp. luxurians), African tall (fodder maize) and Harsha (composite) were included for development of CRIDA tillering maize viz., CRTM-2. Single plant of CRTM2 had five effective tillers similar to Teosinte, with a total height of 1223.5 cm, 62.0 leaves and 25.8 filled cobs. CRTM-2 showed an increase of 530.3, 423.7 and 2086.0% over Harsha, 388.0, 315.8 and 2350 % over African tall and 15.5, 34.
