Treatment with tumor necrosis factor α (TNFα) antagonists in IBD patients sufers from primary non-response rates of up to 40%. Biomarkers for early prediction of therapy success are missing. We investigated the dynamics of gene expression and DNA methylation in blood samples of IBD patients treated with the TNF antagonist infliximab and analyzed the predictive potential regarding therapy outcome.

The purpose of the study is to investigate the function of TRPV4 on ferroptosis in ALI mice induced by lipopolysaccharide (LPS). In vitro, the regulation of TRPV4 on Ca2+ and ferroptosis was detected by CCK-8, fluorescent probe, and western blot in BEAS-2B cells. In vivo, the role of TRPV4 antagonists on ALI mice was analyzed by determination of pulmonary inflammation, pulmonary edema, and ferroptosis.

This study aims to find antagonistic bacteria that are able to provide the highest resistance to the growth of pathogenic Xoo bacteria in rice plants. Antagonistic bacteria were isolated from the leaves and roots of rice plants through surface sterilization and serial dilution. Obtained 53 bacterial isolates consisting of 20 bacterial isolates from leaves and 33 bacterial isolates from roots tested hypersensitive to tobacco plants for filtering potential non-pathogenic bacteria.

Streptococcus mutans is a major pathogen that initiates dental plaque and dental caries due to its strong acid production and biofilm-forming ability. Recent studies showed that lactic acid bacteria (LAB), exert useful properties which make them become potential tools to fight against S. mutans and its relating diseases. The current study aimed to isolate and screen for LAB strains that could inhibit S. mutans growth as well as its biofilm production...

To investigate the effects and potential mechanism of L161982 (a kind of EP4 antagonist) on the collagen-induced arthritis (CIA) mice model. The CIA mice model were first established by immunizing with Chicken Type II Collagen on DBA/1 mice. The CIA groups were administered once a day for 2 weeks with either 5 mg/kg L161982 by intraperitoneal injections (IP), 200 U celecoxib by intragastrical injections, or 100 μl PBS (IP).

The basic aim of the investigation was to screen the potential of Trichoderma harzianum for bio suppression of Rhizoctonia solani f. sp. sassaki, the causal agent of banded leaf and sheath blight of maize which is one of the most destructive diseases of Bihar. The disease severity ranging from 30.30 to 80.46 per cent and gaining the economic importance now a day. Maize (Zea mays L.) is one of the most important cereal crops in the world agricultural economy as food, feed and industrial products. It is a miracle C4 crop and has a very high yield potential.

Trichoderma spp. is biocontrol agents extensively used in management of fungal diseases of crop plants exhibiting mycoparasitism against a wide range of plant pathogens. Twelve Trichoderma isolates T. asperellum (7), T. harzianum (4) and T. longibrachiatum collected from ten district of U.P from chilli ecosystem were characterized for their antagonistic activity against Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. capsici and Colletotrichum capsici of chilli. The isolates revealed differential reaction pattern against the test pathogens.
