  • In this paper, a multiple-input multipleoutput (MIMO) antenna with high isolation is designed using defected ground structure (DGS). The proposed antenna is constructed by two sets of four elements (2 × 2), which are designed at the central frequency of 3.5 GHz for Worldwide Interoperability for Microwave Access (WiMAX) applications. The antenna is fabricated on a FR4 substrate with an overall size of 144 × 99 × 1.6 mm. Thanks to DGS, the designed MIMO antenna achieves a high isolation of 30 dB and a high radiation efficiency of over 90%. Besides, this MIMO antenna attains a 7.5 dBi gain.

  • This article investigates digital predistortion (DPD) linearization of hybrid beamforming large-scale antenna transmitters. We propose a novel DPD processing and learning technique for an antenna sub-array, which utilizes a combined signal of the individual power amplifier (PA) outputs in conjunction with a decorrelation-based learning rule. In effect, the proposed approach results in minimizing the nonlinear distortions in the direction of the intended receiver. This feature is highly desirable, since emissions in other directions are naturally weak due to beamforming.

The developed quasi-Yagi antenna has a simple-low profile and achieves a bandwidth of 48%, a front- to- back ratio of 19 dB, a gain of 6dBi, and an efficiency of better than 78% at 2.1GHz.   • This paper proposes a novel structure of the inverted F antenna based on meandering and folding methods for the monopole antenna placed on FR4 dielectric plate. The proposed antenna has compact size (21 mm × 14 mm × 3.2 mm). Moreover, this antenna still offers enough wide bandwidth (VSWR ≤ 2), which covers 3G bandwidth. Using the simulation program to optimize antenna structure and calculate the antenna parameters in order to verify its applicability for the 3G mobile devices.
