The main goal of study "Prunus microcarpa: a potential rootstock for apricots" was to identify new dwarfing rootstocks for apricots that limit apricot tree height and size, without altering scion production or fruit characteristics. In this study, ‘Hacıhaliloğlu’, ‘Hasanbey’, ‘Kabaaşı’, and ‘Roxana’ apricot cultivars grafted on Prunus microcarpa — a potential rootstock for apricot — were investigated. Phenological, morphological, yield, and quality traits of apricot (Prunus armeniaca L.) cultivars grafted on Prunus microcarpa seedlings and apricot (P.

In this work, 19 newly introduced and some traditional apricot cultivars were evaluated by 20 phenological and agronomical traits and fruit quality attributes. The results showed a wide variation in phenological data, tree vigour (TCSA), productivity [yield per tree, cumulative yield (CY) and yield efficiency (YE)], and fruit quality attributes such as fruit and stone weight, flesh/stone ratio, fruit dimensions, size, shape index, soluble solids content (SSC), titratable acidity (TA) and ripening index (RI).

The aim of this study was to determine average daily gain in physico-chemical characteristics, yield efficiency, Flesh thickness, Stone size, Pulp stone proportion and Leaf size of some apricot cultivars at commercial harvest. Correlation analysis was conducted to assess change in yield efficiency and flesh thickness with regard to leaf size.

Hacıhaliloğlu is one of the most widely cultivated apricot (Prunus armeniaca L.) cultivars in Turkey. It produces fruit of excellent quality and is consumed both fresh and dried. In this study several factors affecting in vitro culture, rapid proliferation, rooting, and acclimatization of the apricot cultivar Hacıhaliloğlu were examined.
