In this study, the B/ZnO materials were simply synthesized via a Sol-gel method. The photocatalytic ability of materials was evaluated by degrading tetracycline hydrochloride (TCH). The characteristics of the ZnO and 3B/ZnO materials were analyzed and evaluated by the Diffuse Reflectance UltravioletVisible (DR/UV-Vis), Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM), Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FT-IR), and X-Ray Diffraction (XRD) techniques.

The protection of the environment through the recycling of waste brought back many economic-social benefits. Demand for the recycling of the large quantity of activated sludge derived from biological treatment stage of the wastewater treatment plant has become urgent in recent years. This study examined successfully the batch biosorption of Sulfur Brown GD on the recycled material prepared by the acid washing biomass of activated sludge.

Degradation of antibiotic sulfamethoxazole in aqueous media by UVA/TiO2 pure-brookite photocatalysis
The appearance of antibiotic sulfamethoxazole (SMX) in natural environments poses a potential risk to human health and ecology. Among many developed treatment techniques to remove and degrade SMX from an aqueous environment, photodegradation using the phase-pure TiO2 nanoparticles (NPs) in brookite structure as an active photocatalyst could be considered as a novel and effective strategy.

Nitrogen-doped porous hard carbons are synthesized by hydrothermal carbonization method (HTC) using glucosamine as biosource and treated at different carbonization temperatures in nitrogen environment (500, 750, 1000°C). The electrochemical performances of hard carbons electrode materials for aqueous electrolyte sodium ion batteries are examined to observe the effect of two different voltage ranges (–0.8-0.0) V and (0.0-0.8) V in 1.0 M Na2SO4 aqueous electrolyte.

Human body is greatly exposed to aluminum due to its high abundance in the environment. This nonessential metal is a threat to the patients of chronic renal disorders, as it is easily retained in their plasma and quickly accumulates in different tissues. Thus, there is great need to remove it from the aqueous environment. In this study, Al3+ imprinted semiinterpenetrating polymer network (semi-IPN)-based cryogel composite was prepared and applied for the purification of environmental and drinking water samples from aluminum.

Disposal of contaminated wastewater causes many serious problems especially when it gets mixed with the ground and seawater. It is, therefore, important to apply any remedial action to eradicate dangerous pollutants from the aqueous effluents and to avoid exposure of this wastewater to aquatic life. The research results discussed herein deal with the removal of Rhodamine B (RhB) and Congo Red (CR) dye from wastewater by using multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) as an adsorbent.

Common bean (Phaseolus vulgaris L.) plays an important role in human and animal nutrition. However, its cultivation in Cameroon is affected by diseases, especially the white bean mold caused by Sclerotinia sclerotiorum. Methods of protection against this pathogen are the use of chemical fungicides which are very expensive and degrade the environment. The search for alternative solutions is necessary. The objective of this work is to evaluate the antifungal activity of aqueous and organic extracts of Moringa oleifera seeds on the development of two strains of S. sclerotiorum.

The present study “Effect of Aqueous and dietary minerals supplementation on growth and survival of Litopenaeus vannamei in low salinity water” was conducted in the Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Kampasagar, Nalgonda of Professor Jayashankar Telangana state Agriculture University. L. vannamei culture in inland low salinity water in currently being practiced various parts of the country. These environments are often deficient in key ions essential for normal physiological function of shrimp, which resulted in reduced growth and mortalities.

Primary and secondary microbial adhesion onto solid surfaces has been the onset of development of a mature biofilm in aqueous environments that is predominantly the mode of bacterial contamination and spread of diseases. Adhesion and co-adhesion assays are therefore useful in understanding the adhesive interactions between microorganism and its surfaces. Various factors influence cell adhesion and biofilm formation, depending on aqueous medium and the type of microorganism in place.

The aim of the present study was to develop and evaluate a thermoresponsive depot system comprising of docetaxel-loaded cubosomes. The cubosomes were dispersed within a thermoreversible gelling system for controlled drug delivery. The cubosome dispersion was prepared by dilution method, followed by homogenization using glyceryl monooleate, ethanol and Pluronic® F127 in distilled water. The cubosome dispersion was then incorporated into a gelling system prepared with Pluronic® F127 and Pluronic® F68 in various ratios to formulate a thermoresponsive depot system.

The ban imposed on the usage of synthetic-dyes has led to the reinvention of natural-dyes throughout the world. Today, the faded antiquity is unveiling due to the concern manifested globally for saving the environment from pollution. In this experiment the dried Acacia nilotica pods and degummed mulberry-silk yarn were used. The powdered Acacia nilotica (5, 10, 15, 20g) was soaked overnight in different M.L.R (1:20, 1:30, 1:40) to optimize the dye-concentration and it was extracted by aqueous-method. Based on the reflectance and colour-strength, 10g dye-concentration, 1:30 M.L.
