Synovial fibroblasts (SFs) are specialized cells of the synovium that provide nutrients and lubricants for the proper function of diarthrodial joints. Recent evidence appreciates the contribution of SF heterogeneity in arthritic pathologies. However, the normal SF profiles and the molecular networks that govern the transition from homeostatic to arthritic SF heterogeneity remain poorly defined.

Arthritic knees with Ranawat type-II valgus deformity present with soft tissue contracture and osseous anomalies that make total knee arthroplasty (TKA) difficult. We hypothesized that computer-navigated-TKA (CN-TKA) may be superior to conventional techniques and provide better mid-term radiographic and clinical outcomes in such cases.

While arthrodesis is the standard treatment of a severely arthritic ankle joint, total ankle arthroplasty has become a popular alternative. This review provides clinical outcomes and complications of both interventions in patients with rheumatoid arthritis.

Multinucleated giant cells have been noticed in diverse arthritic conditions since their first description in rheumatoid synovium. However, their role in the pathogenesis of osteoarthritis (OA) or rheumatoid arthritis (RA) still remains broadly unknown. We aimed to study the presence and characteristics of multinucleated giant cells (MGC) both in synovium and in subchondral bone tissues of patients with OA or RA.

Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA) is the most common systemic inflammatory, Auto immune Rheumatic disease of unknown etiology. Although the precise aetiology of RA remains unknown, there is strong evidence for autoimmunity, The present study is to evaluate the significance of AntiCCP antibodies in Rheumatoid Arthritis and to compare it with other Connective Tissue Disorders (CTD including SLE, and Osteo Arthritis (OA) and in Healthy Blood Donors as Control.

Inflammation of the iris and ciliary body is called anterior uveitis. It can be nongranulomatous or granulomatous. Idiopathic nongranulomatous anterior uveitis is the most common type of anterior uveitis which is known to be associated with the human leukocyte antigen (HLA) 827 in 50-60 percent of patients. It is characterized by male predominance and may be associated with seronegative arthritic syndromes such as ankylosing spondylitis, Reiter syndrome, psoriatic arthritis, and inflammatory bowel disease....

Sympathetically Maintained Pain Patients with peripheral nerve injury can develop a severe burning pain (causalgia) in the region innervated by the nerve. The pain typically begins after a delay of hours to days or even weeks. The pain is accompanied by swelling of the extremity, periarticular osteoporosis, and arthritic changes in the distal joints. The pain is dramatically and immediately relieved by blocking the sympathetic innervation of the affected extremity.
