The paper’s "Relationship between business environment and economic development: Evidence from Southeast Asia" main focus will be the quantified aspects of the business environment on the economic growth of ASEAN Member States. This paper moved to use the entire overall score of IEF as a variable of interest, with a main focus on European countries. This article also included the dummy variable of the European Union (EU) to test the effect of EU membership on economic growth.

This study examines the effect of globalization and tax competition on tax revenue in Southeast Asian countries. Figures show the sign of tax competition in Southeast Asian countries. We evaluate the effects of tax competition on tax revenues of Southeast Asian countries with the globalization KOF index. The analysis shows interdependence among the tax revenues of Southeast Asian countries in the context of economic integration.

The aim of this paper is to investigate the cointegration relationship of stock market index of ASEAN countries from April 2012 to December 2019. Using the Augmented Dickey Fuller Test, it finds that all of the stock market data are non-stationary. Trace tests are used to indicate the number of cointegration ranks in the long run. The results are supported by Vector Autoregression and Vector Error Correction Models in order to point out the short-run relationship between the change in value of a stock market index and the others.

By reviewing an amount of macro indicators of Vietnam involved in PESTLE from 2005, combining with FDI data in country level, the result has shown that (i) every six points in PESTLE framework have been in relation with FDI inflow into Vietnam; and (ii) AEC commitments have been broadening the PESTLE hexagon of Vietnam to attract FDI, especially in terms of economic and legal angles.

If the nonlinear impact exists, the author will estimate the threshold value of trade openness when it affects economic growth. This study will provide an insight about the exports of environmental products from Vietnam, the determinants impacting on the export performance and focus on the APEC list of environmental goods that is consisted of 54 commodities in 54 different 6 digit HS code. By using stochastic frontier gravity model for the panel data of top 20 partner countries and regions of Vietnam on environmental goods exports from 2001 to 2016, the estimated results illustrate that GDP of partners nations, participating in the ASEAN and exchange rate have positive impacts on the exports of Vietnam.
