India accounts for 30% of neonatal deaths globally. Bacterial sepsis is a significant cause of morbidity and mortality in newborns. The study helps to make antibiotic policy in neonatal sepsis. The main objective is to study the incidence of multidrug resistant gram negative and gram positive organisms causing neonatal septicemia and their antibiotic sensitivity pattern. Staphylococcus aureus is one of the important human pathogens involved in food related diseases and common community associated infections. This organism proliferates in food and causes food-borne illnesses. Milk serves as an ideal medium for growth of many microorganisms including Staphylococcus aureus. A total of 118 raw cattle milk samples were collected under aseptic precautions from different places of Navsari district of south Gujarat, processed under standard bacteriological techniques. The Baird Parker Agar was sued as selective medium for isolation.

Impetigo continues to be an important paediatric skin infection. Staphylococcus aureus is the commonest bacteria associated with Impetigo. Drug resistance particularly to first line oral antibiotics is alarmingly high in Staphylococcus aureus. This study aims to find the bacterial isolates causing impetigo and their susceptibility pattern to drugs particularly Mupirocin. The Fresh water sample was collected by submerging 10liters of jerry Can (sterile) into a depth of 30cm in K-Dere River in Gokana Local Government Area, Rivers State. The incidence of superficial mycoses has increased recently due to frequent usage of antibiotics and various immunosuppressive conditions. In the background of immunosuppression, detection of these agents becomes necessary for effective management and prevention of further invasions. Complications Mechanical The insertion of a central venous catheter should be performed by trained and experienced personnel using aseptic techniques to limit the major common complications of pneumothorax and inadvertent arterial puncture or injury. Catheter position should be radiographically confirmed to be in the superior vena cava distal to the junction with the jugular or subclavian vein and not directly against the vessel wall. Thrombosis related to the catheter may occur at the site of entry into the vein and extend to encase the catheter.
