In this study, bamboo sawdust was converted into syngas, using up - draft gasification equipment and equilibrium equations generated to simulate gasification via Aspen Plus v.10 software. Its six phases included a complete procedure, drying, pyrolysis, reduction, combustion, tar - cracking and cooling.

The PC-SAFT equation of state (EoS) combined with the free-volume theory (FVT) recently proposed (DOI: 10.1016/j.fluid.2019. 112280) is extended in this work to simultaneously predict viscosity and some second-order derivative properties such as sound velocity and isobaric heat capacity of some petroleum and refinery gases. The PC-SAFT pure component parameters are obtained by providing the optimal description of its vapour pressure and saturated liquid density data.

In this work, Aspen Plus simulator was used to propose an entrainer selection procedure based on the criteria: 1) A good entrainer is a component that eliminates the azeotrope easily (i.e. even when it’s concentration is small). 2) A component that yields relative volatilities αAB between the two azeotrope constituents more different from unity in the whole concentration range (0÷1).
