Impact of demographic characteristics on attitude of farm women towards value added products of ragi
The study was conducted in Mandya and Srirangapatana taluks of Mandya district of Karnataka state to know the attitude level of trained farm women on value added products of ragi. The data were collected from a sample of 120 trained farm women. The study revealed that, 41.70 per cent of respondents fall under more favourable attitude category, followed by 30.80 and 27.50 per cent of respondents fall under less favourable and favourable attitude category, respectively.

Role of women in Peri urban dairy farming was studied with respect to access and control over resources and services and constraints faced by them by collecting data from 60 respondents in Cuttack and Jagatsinghpur districts of Odisha. The results indicated that the access and control over natural resources by men were higher for cultivable land and grazing resources whereas livestock was mostly under the joint control of men and women. Vegetable transplanting is a laborious, time consuming and drudgery prone field operation task when performed manually by farm women for almost all crops grown. This directs for interventions in terms of improved technologies to relieve women from high energy demands, time spent and associated drudgery particularly for transplanting activity. To resolve this problem Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Kalikiri, conducted on farm trial on use of easy transplanter to prove the efficacy of improved technology in reducing drudgery among women engaged in transplanting activity in tomato seedlings.

This paper identified their knowledge level of different ICTs in agriculture and allied sectors, their attitude towards different ICTs and their perceived effect of ICTs in agriculture and allied sectors. The study was conducted in the district of West Garo Hills, Meghalaya. A total of hundred samples were collected for the present study and was studied between March 2018 and May 2019. The results revealed that large percentage (81%) of the respondents have use mobile phones.

Krishi Vigyan Kendras or Farm Science Centres have been established by the Indian Council of Agricultural Research in all districts of Tamil Nadu. The trust areas of KVKs are refinement and demonstration of technologies, and training of farmers, farm women, rural youth and extension functionaries. Imparting trainings in agriculture and allied fields for the rural youth is one of its mandates. Effective training is considered as an important factor in determining the efficiency of an organization which depends upon the capability of its trainees.
