  • Universal extractant is a term used to designate reagents or procedures to extract several elements or ions to assess soil fertility status or levels of toxicity. The extraction procedure should be rapid, reproducible, inexpensive, adaptable to soils from different regions, and extract the labile forms of nutrients which might be potentially available to plants. Most of the extractants in use are fall short of these requirements.

  • Zinc deficiency not only affects crop yields, but also nutritional quality and human health. Microbial transformation of unavailable forms of soil zinc to plant available zinc is an important approach contributing to plant zinc nutrition. Therefore, Nutrient uptake and biological activity in Tomato crop by zinc solubilizing bacterial isolates was tested under glass house condition. The study consisted of six treatments, each with five replications, including five different zinc solubilizing bacteria and uninoculated control, out of five bacteria B. aryabhattai was used as reference strain.

  • The study on the relationship between the higher education and income inequality is of great importance to exploring ways to reduce income inequality. With the macro-level time-series data of the United States from 1967 to 2015, this paper empirically tested the relationship between higher education and income inequality. The result indicated that there is a significant inverted-U relationship between higher education and income inequality, that is, when the higher education is not widely available, the bonus of higher education is significant, which can aggravate income inequality.
