Axial strength

This paper focuses on numerical investigations and derived formulation to evaluate the residual strength of tension leg platforms (TLPs) with the local denting damage under axial compression loading. The damage generation scenarios in this research are represented the collision accidents of offshore stiffened cylinders TLPs with supply ships or floating subjects.

In this paper, therefore, given experimental data STCC columns, the authors used four useful AI models to estimate the axial strength in the STCC columns. Particularly, artificial neural networks (ANNs), support vector regression (SVR), linear regression (LR), and M5P were applied in this study.

Jacking force is the most crucial factor in pipe jacking engineering. The calculation of jacking force directly affects to design of back wall pipe strength and intermediate jacking station. This paper introduces and compares some agreeable methods which are being used in the world for estimating the required jacking force.
