In previous studies, CRISPR/Cas9 was shown to induce unexpected exon skipping; however, the mechanism by which this phenomenon is triggered is controversial. By analyzing 22 gene-edited rabbit lines generated using CRISPR/Cas9, we provide evidence of exon skipping at high frequency in premature termination codon-mutated rabbits but not in the rabbits with a premature termination codon mutation in exon 1 rabbits with non-frameshift or missense mutations.

The paper studies the use of Contraction resources in the English and Vietnamese editorials based on Appraisal Theory. Firstly, the paper presents Appraisal Theory, especially Contraction. Then, it is about the data and methods. The findings denote that both English and Vietnamese editors make use of a variety of strategies in Contraction. However, in the English editorials, there is a much lower frequency of Contraction which makes the English texts sound less affirmative and authoritative but more dialogically expansive than the Vietnamese ones.

Writing a book about Jack Nicklaus, golf ’s leading major championship winner, is not easy. The reason: Nicklaus knows his swing and shot-making game well and has written about it in books, most notably Golf My Way. Therefore, taking the challenge head-on to analyze this great golfer’s technique and point out secrets of his setup and swing that he was never aware of, or chose not to share, was quite a daring task. Nevertheless, I approached this assignment confidently, based on my experience as a former golf teacher and senior editor of instruction for GOLF Magazine.
