Fabaceae is one of the most diversified and complex family of flowering plants. The important pulses and the medicinally important plant species under this family have a high market value. Now a day, adulteration in the food and herbal medicinal products has become a severe problem. Adulteration of therapeutic herbs and major pulses with related or conflicting species has proved to be hazardous to human health in several cases. We have projected here, a PCR-based method using some of the major universal DNA barcode primers from the plastid region to address this problem.

Religions emerged from a very early age and could exist independently with political institutions. The significant impacts of religion on human being, society and culture have led to recognize that religions as social entities of the social sciences and politics. This has created the new changes in the perception of religion in general and of religious values in particular. This article examines and clarifies the basic values of the traditional religions in Vietnam in terms of ethic, education, and history.

Currency of publication is a basic criterion in the evaluation process. In general, books selected for both Science and Social Sciences & Humanities Editions must bear a copyright from the current year or previous five (5) years. However, books outside this range, especially in Social Sciences and Arts & Humanities subjects, are often considered for coverage with the understanding that older books in these areas are often of relatively greater value.

The jurisprudence of the International Court of Justice generally demonstrates that no rule of international law can be interpreted and applied without regard to its innate values and the basic principles of human rights. Through its case-law the ICJ has made immense contributions to the development of human rights law, and in so doing continues to provide solutions to mounting international prob- lems, such as terrorism and unilateral use of force.

Forests ecosystems provide a multiplicity of goods and services of crucial ecological, social and economic importance for the sustainability of our society. Forest goods and services represent the benefits that human populations derive, directly or indirectly, from forest ecosystems functions (MEA 2005) and are therefore an inherently anthropogenic concept, since it is the presence of human beings as valuing agents that enables the translation of the basic ecological structures and processes of forests into value-laden entities. ...

In its most basic form, Lean Manufacturing is the systematic elimination of waste by focusing on production costs, product quality and delivery, and worker involvement. In the 1950s, Taiichi Ohno, developer of the Toyota “just-in-time” Production System, created the modern intellectual and cultural framework for Lean Manufacturing and waste elimination. Ohno defined waste as “any human activity which absorbs resources but creates no value.

This account of human nutrition describes the basic facts in a clear and simple way without the use of complicated details or much specialist language. In the few places where more than this is necessary, elementary explanations are given. I believe that any averagely intelligent person will readily gain a good knowledge of human nutrition from this book, which will also be of value to students, teachers, nurses, doctors and health professionals.

Our starting point is the question, “Who invented the environment?” Chapter 1 describes how humans’ awareness of their impacts on the environment developed and when and why the concept of the environment was invented. Chapter 2 provides a first definition of environmental literacy and introduces the value that transdisciplinarity can bring to how humans address environmental issues.

Unfortunately many people do not value their health until they lose it. It can be reasoned however that if people can understand and appreciate better the basis of human value systems they could be more likely to reappraise their values and thereby encouraged to address aspects of life and living which have more intrinsic and sustainable or ‘real’ value for them.

Real time ultrasound has become popular for in vivo assessment of human tendon stressstrain relationship. The same general principles of in vivo tendon testing have often been applied with the aim of characterizing the mechanical behavior of the human tendon in different in-vivo situations and conditions. The results obtained vary greatly (Arampatzis et al. 2005; Bojsen-Møller et al. 2004; Kubo et al. 2002, 2004; Maganaris and Paul 2002; Muramatsu et al. 2001; Reeves et al. 2005).

So many individuals, over so many years, contributed ‘‘real-life’’ scenarios that form the essence of practice leading to writing this manuscript— far too many to name, but I deeply thank you all. A few, however, made in-process contributions. I acknowledge the Honorable Richard Nass, B.S., M.B.A.—business associate, friend, and Maine House representative. To ‘‘wade’’ in the waters of any technical or grammatical beginning is a tenacious undertaking, but to wade in mine necessitates uncommon stamina. Dick, your countless hours of critique are deeply appreciated from the bottom of my heart..
