Beneficiaries and non-beneficiaries

The present paper explains the impact of Krishibhagya Yojana on social participation, cropping pattern and irrigation practices of farmers in the North Eastern Karnataka. For the study primary data were collected from 75 beneficiaries of farm pond scheme (Krishibhagya Yojana) and 75 nonbeneficiaries through pre-tested questionnaire.

The present study entitled, ‘Comparative economics of farm pond beneficiary and nonbeneficiary farmers of Deulgaon Raja tahasil of Buldana district. The study was undertaken to examine the impact of farm ponds on production of major crops. For the present study, 50 beneficiary farmers having farm ponds and 50 non-beneficiary farmers without farm ponds on their field were selected from Deulgaon Raja tahasil of Buldana district.

It was found that on average a total quantity of water flow in Nallamada command in a year was 43.84 TMC, in addition to the 6 TMC of water being used for all the Lift Irrigation Schemes above the gauging station for all the crops under Nallamada command in Krishna Western Delta. During socio- economic survey of beneficiary and nonbeneficiary farmers in the five randomly selected villages under Nagulapadu Lift Irrigation Scheme, effort were made to analyse the socio- economic and gender impact of Lift Irrigation Scheme on the lives of deprived farmers.

The study was undertaken during 2018-2019 with an objective to find out consequence of Sujala Watershed Project on accessibility to livelihood. The present study was conducted in Sri Dungargarh and Bikaner panchayat samities of Bikaner district of Rajasthan.
