The present study was carried out in Warangal district of Telangana state by selecting the 60 beneficiary farmers of mobile phone based agro-advisory services. The specific objectives of the study were to know the usefulness and perception towards mobile phone based agro advisories. The results showed that 48.33 per cent of respondents indicated as mobile phone based agro-advisories were moderately useful and the majority (50.00%) of the respondents had positive perception towards the mobile phone based agro-advisories.

The study was conducted in Indore district of Sawer blocks M.P. where FLDs were conducted by IARI Regional station on Wheat, Indore M.P. during 2015-16 and 2016-17,60 wheat growers were benefited by this programme. To popularize rabi castor cultivation with onion intercrop in drip fertigation in Salem and Namakkal district demonstration were conducted under farmers participatory approach. The castor with onion intercropping through drip fertigation was introduced in different blocks in Namakkal and Salem districts in an area of 18 ha with total beneficiaries of 43. On observing the yield and economics, the results revealed that the average castor yield of 4 tonnes/ha and onion intercrop yield of 5 tonnes/ha was recorded in the farmer’s field and the higher gross return of Rs.

The present study was conducted at Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Kota district of Rajasthan. Choma kot village was selected from the identified on the basis of maximum numbers of beneficiaries under NICRA. The study was conducted in the state of Uttarakhand, with two purposively selected KVKs Dhakrani representing the plains region of Garhwal division and Bageshwarre presenting the hill region of Kumaon division. A simple random sampling technique was used to select 160 respondents from eight villages from both KVK. Finding of the study revealed that, majority of the beneficiaries had middle age group, educated up to higher secondary, medium family size, marginal land holding, medium media ownership, extension contact, information seeking behaviour and social participation.

It was found that on average a total quantity of water flow in Nallamada command in a year was 43.84 TMC, in addition to the 6 TMC of water being used for all the Lift Irrigation Schemes above the gauging station for all the crops under Nallamada command in Krishna Western Delta. During socio- economic survey of beneficiary and nonbeneficiary farmers in the five randomly selected villages under Nagulapadu Lift Irrigation Scheme, effort were made to analyse the socio- economic and gender impact of Lift Irrigation Scheme on the lives of deprived farmers.

Rashtriya Krishi Vikas Yojana (RKVY) is a State Plan Scheme of Additional Central Assistance launched during August, 2007 as a part of the 11th Five year plan by the Government of India to achieve 4 % annual growth in agriculture through development of agriculture and allied sectors. Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Rudrur was allocated fund Rs.22,00,000/- under RKVY during 2014-15 for organising Field Testing and Popularizing Integrated Farming System Approach for the sustainable livelihoods where Vanaraja Birds were distributed to 37 beneficiaries.
