India has been considered as the "Spice Bowl of the World". Black pepper (Piper nigrum L.), is a perennial export oriented cash crop of India. It is also known as "King of Spices". The demand for black pepper and its products is increasing year by year in the world market but the production is not up to the level. At present the productivity in India is very low due to non-adoption of good agricultural practices (Thangaselvabal et al., 2008).

These feed ingredients are not sufficient for achieving optimum weight gain and reproductive performance of goats (Kochapakdee et al., 1994). The higher body weight gain and optimum reproductive performance can be achieved through supplement of concentrate and mineral mixture (Madibela and Segwagwe, 2008).

This paper analyses the growth rates and instability indices of major pulses in Andhra Pradesh. Decomposition analysis was carried out to measure the relative contribution of area and yield to the growth in total production of major pulses. The study period has been divided into two sub periods for the purpose of analysis of growth rates and decomposition analysis viz., 1995-96 to 2005-2006 and 2005-06 to 2015-16. Growth rate analysis showed that both the production and yield of major pulse crops were positive whereas the area was positive except for green gram and black gram.

The study was conducted in female Black Bengal goat to investigate the effect of non hormonal factors on reproductive efficiency. Female kids of three months of age were placed in three groups with five numbers in each group; 1st TG with supplementary nutrition and a buck, 2nd TG with supplementary nutrition and 3rd TG as control. Due to permanent exposure of buck and good plane of nutrition, the animals under TG 1 attained puberty significantly (P0.05) variation in gestational length indicated non-hormonal factors had no effect on length of gestation.
