The present study entitled “Genetic Divergence in Black gram [Vigna mungo (L.) Hepper]” was conducted with 56 genotypes and two checks namely Pant U-31 and Pratap Urd-1during Kharif- 2019 at the Experimental farm, RCA, MPUAT, Udaipur. The genotypes were planted in augmented RBD design in four blocks. Mean squares due to genotypes were significant for plant height, number of branches per plant, number of pods per plant and pod length out of twelve characters as divulge from ANOVA.

Black gram is a major pulse crop and a good source of proteins and minerals. Genotypic correlation and path coefficient analysis were used to determine the effect of various traits as components of seed yield in fifty black gram genotypes. Genotypic correlations were recorded higher as compared to corresponding phenotypic correlations for majority of the traits under study indicating that there was an inherent association between these characters at genotypic level.

In the present study, we are trying to test these effects on the said growth parameters under AgriHorticultural system on black gram (Vigna mungo L. Hepper). The treatments were comprised of two levels of inorganic fertilizers i.e., NPK (20:40:20 and 30:50:30 kg per ha) and three level of organic manure (FYM, Vermicompost and Rhizobium inoculant) in factorial randomized block design (factorial-RBD), with 12 treatment combinations, each replicated three times.

The field investigation entitled assessment of inclined plate planter for line sowing of black gram [Vigna mungo (L.) Hepper] was carried out during kharif season 2019-20 on farmers field at Krishi Vigyan Kendra Kanker (CG) The experiment was conducted on an area of 5 ha by the active participation of farmers. The results indicated that the higher yield of black was obtained in the improved practices and per-cent change in yield was increased by 19.07 per cent as compared to farmers practices.

A study was carried out at S. V. Agricultural College, Tirupati to know the effect of foliar application of amino acids, micronutrients and growth promoting substances on growth parameters and yield of blackgram. It was observed that spraying of aminoacid (arginine and glutamine @ 1000 ppm) increased crop growth rate, relative growth rate, net assimilation rate, specific leaf area, specific leaf weight, total dry matter, seed yield and harvest index when compared to other treatments and control.
