In the present study, seeds were mechanically sap inoculated by sprout seed abrasion method. Influence of artificial inoculation on ULCD incidence has been studied in CO5 cultivar of blackgram. Symptoms started appearing 30-35 DPI and disease incidence was up to43.3%. This protocol will help in maintenance of pure inoculum of ULCD under glasshouse conditions and further investigations are under process to standardize efficient protocol to obtain higher transmission efficiency.

The present study was undertaken to evaluate the yield gap through CFLDs on blackgram by the active participation of farmers with the objective to harness maximum potential of crops by demonstrating the improved technologies. Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Hamirpur (H.P.) conducted 88 demonstrations on blackgram (Vigna mungo L., Fabaceae) in 16.7 ha area during kharif 2016 and 2017 in different villages of district Hamirpur, Himachal Pradesh. Prevailing farmers‟ practices were treated as control for comparison with recommended practices.

In recent years, the use of fermented cow dung, cow urine, cow ghee, cow curd and cow milk with the name of panchagavya is getting adaptive popularity in Indian agriculture largely through the efforts of small groups of farmers. Panchagavya has got reference in the scripts of Vedas (divine scripts of Indian wisdom) and Vrikshayurveda (Natarajan, 2002). Panchagavya, an organic product has potential to play the role in promoting growth and providing immunity in plant system.
