Blocking replication fork

Twenty five genotypes of carrot were evaluated for different traits in a randomized complete block design with two replications. The variation was observed for all the parameters studied. Root weight, root/top length ratio, total yield/plot, total yield/ha, cortex thickness, TSS, β-carotene content, ascorbic acid content, total phenol, protein, root forking and root splitting showed high genotypic coefficient of variation and phenotypic coefficient of variation.

DNA-crosslinking agents like cisplatin and mitomycin C (MMC) are indispensible for the treatment of many solid malignancies. These anticancer drugs generate DNA interstrand crosslinks (ICLs) that cause cell death by blocking replication forks.

A field experiment was conducted during rabi 2017-2018 at Vegetable Research Block, College of Horticulture - Mojerla, SKLTS Horticultural University, Hyderabad, Telangana, India, to study the effect of integrated nutrient management (INM) on quality parameters and economics of carrot (Daucas carota L.) cv. Kuroda improved. The experiment was laid out in randomized block design with nine treatments and three replications. The results pertaining to quality parameters indicated that higher percentage of total soluble solids (12.40 %), ascorbic acid content (5.

A complex Mus81-Mm4 is a DNA structure–specific endonuclease in Saccharomyces cerevisiae. Mus81-Mms4 functions in processing of recombination intermediates that could arise during the repair of stalled and blocked replication forks and double stranded breaks. Mus81-Mms4 works with many proteins involved in DNA repair, replication fork stability, and joint molecule formation/resolution during homologous recombination repair.

Drosophila melanogasterXPG-like endonuclease (DmGEN) is a new cate-gory of nuclease belonging to the RAD2⁄XPG family. The DmGEN pro-tein has two nuclease domains (N and I domains) similar to XPG⁄class I nucleases; however, unlike class I nucleases, in DmGEN these two nuclease domains are positioned close to each other as in FEN-1⁄class II and EXO-1⁄ class III nucleases.
