Molasses is a potential energy supplement; extensively used to improve growth performance, milk and meat characteristics in goats at relatively low concentrations of 5–40% of the diet. A four years age cow was presented to the Veterinary Clinical Complex (VCC), College of Veterinary Science, Rajendranagar, Hyderabad with the history of decreased appetite, depression, decreased milk yield and with swollen mammary gland for four days. General clinical examination revealed increased body temperature of 1040 F and palpation of udder revealed swollen udder and animal is feeling pain on touch. The present study was taken up to evaluate the antibiogram against different mastitogenic pathogens isolated from the milk samples of clinical bovine mastitis cases. A total of 78 milk samples were collected from different dairy farmers of Nialiblock, Odisha and processed in Animal Disease Research Institute (ADRI), Phulnakhara, Cuttack for isolation, identification and antibiogram of pathogens. The samples were screened for mastitis by modified California mastitis test (MCMT). The milk samples were inoculated in BHI broth and incubated for 24-48 hours.

Prevalence of haemoprotozoan disease in cattle during rainy season was studied by examining 803 blood smears of suspected cases, received on the reference of field veterinarians from July 2016 to November 2016. Mostly the cases were with general clinical symptoms of pyrexia, anorexia, anaemia, pale conjunctiva membrane, corneal opacity, swollen lymph node, haemoglobinurea, nasal discharge and coughing, circling movement, grinding of teeth, reduced milk yield and abortion. Out of which, 598(74.47%) cases were found positive for haemoprotozoan disease by using Giemsa staining technique.

The study was conducted on twelve lactating Murrah buffaloes which were randomly distributed into 2 groups consisting of six animals in each group i.e. control group without any fenugreek supplementation and treatment group supplemented with soaked fenugreek seeds @ 100 g per animal per day. The extent of allergenicity of whey protein was revealed by inhibition ELISA using blood serum obtained from milk allergic infants. The effect of in vitro proteolysis on allergenicity and development of bitterness was studied using enzymes individually and in combination. Selective proteolysis of WPC was done to 3 and 5 per cent DH. A combination of enzymes was effective in reducing allergenicity at a lower DH. Sensory evaluation of hydrolysates was done to give bitterness scores.
