Boost firm performance

The study examine relationship between implementing ERP systems on the boosting of the organizational performance, in addition, to examine the mediating role of agile supply chain approach to achieve the targeted performance enhancements in manufacturing listed firms in Amman Stock Exchange (ASE). The study population entails all manufacturing listed firms in Amman Stock Exchange (ASE), particularly the top retail firms operate in the Jordanian market constitutes of firms.

This article investigates the causal connection between social capital (SC), knowledge transfer, innovation and firm performance. Based on existing literature on social capital, we develop a research model showing that three dimensions of social capital, including network ties, trust and shared visions, have positive relationships with company performance via two mediators, namely knowledge transfer and innovation.

The use of external financing is a balancing act between higher returns for shareholders versus higher risk to shareholders. Though external financing can boost stock performance of firms, it is still inconclusive as to its impact on performance of firms in developing economies like Nigeria. It is, therefore, against this background that this study sought to investigate the impact of external financing on dividend per share of manufacturing firms in Nigeria and the result of this study reveals that external financing has negative and non-significant impact on dividend per share.

A variety of evidence supports the role of design in enhancing firm performance. New research undertaken for this study also shows that firms with higher design intensity have a greater probability of carrying out product innovation and that design expenditure has a positive association with firm productivity growth. Nonetheless, the multifaceted nature of design makes it difficult to isolate from more traditional factors affecting performance, such as market conditions or investment. Research is also hampered by the lack of commonly agreed statistical measures.

Earnings capacity is a key element in the stock market valuation of firms. Higher sustainable profits should lead to higher dividend payments and boost firms’ equity values. We use past earnings as a proxy for future cash flows and hence for payments to shareholders. To the extent that bank managers smooth earnings, they also increase the correlation between reported earnings in consecutive years and augment the salience of this driver. We postulate that these three drivers affect bank equity performance indirectly.
