Boundary filtering

In recent years, the microscopy technology for imaging cells has developed greatly and rapidly. The accompanying requirements for automatic segmentation and quantification of the imaged cells are becoming more and more. After studied widely in both scientific research and industrial applications for many decades, cell segmentation has achieved great progress, especially in segmenting some specific types of cells, e.g. muscle cells.

We explore learning prepositionalphrase attachment in Dutch, to use it as a filter in prosodic phrasing. From a syntactic treebank of spoken Dutch we extract instances of the attachment of prepositional phrases to either a governing verb or noun. Using cross-validated parameter and feature selection, we train two learning algorithms, TB I and RIPPER, 011 making this distinction, based on unigram and bigram lexical features and a cooccurrence feature derived from WWW counts.

Constructed wetlands are known widely by their characteristic properties like utilization of natural processes, simple and easy of construction, operation and maintain as well. The constructed subsurface flow wetland is designed as a tank with an impervious boundary to prevent seepage and contain a suitable porous media in which emergent plants grow. The water remains below the surface of the gravel/stone/rock media. Soil in constructed subsurface flow wetland absorbs and stores organic matter several years.
