Bovine papillomavirus (BPV) belongs to the Papillomaviridae family and infects epithelial cells of bovines and closely related animals, causing hyperproliferative lesions known as warts or papillomas, which may regress or progress to form benign or malignant tumors.

Bovine fibropapillomatosis has been reported previously by various authors in India, but the sero biochemical profile of the disease has not been described so far in Tamil Nadu, elsewhere in India. The present study is on hematological, sero biochemical and histopathological changes in eight naturally infected calves were compared with eight healthy calves.

The present clinical study was conducted to study the efficacy of tarantula cubensis extract on bovine papillomatosis. Among total of 3812 cattle presented to the clinic, 52 cattle were having papillomas. The animals were treated with 10 ml of tarantula cubensis extract subcutaneously at weekly once for two weeks. Tarantula cubensis extract was found to be efficacious in the treatment of bovine papillomatosis with no occurrence for a period of 6 months.

Twelve cross breed cow having teat papilloma were successfully treated with Bai-Mast® herbal capsule. Papilloma was start regressing from 5th day after treatment and completely disappeared after 202 day of treatment without any recurrence. Therefore Bai-Mast® can be used as an alternative for the treatment of papilloma in cattle.

Bovine papillomatosis is a viral disease of cattle characterized clinically by development of multiple benign tumours termed warts. The diagnosis of bovine papillomatosis was confirmed by clinical and pathological examinations of the warts. The aim of the present investigation was to study the pathology of papillomas and to evaluate the therapeutic efficacy of anthiomaline in bovine papillomatosis.

Bovine papillomatosis is the viral infection commonly affecting heifers and milch animals. Warts are usually found on the head, neck, shoulders and sensitive parts of body i.e. the vaginal mucosa. The present study was conducted on eight heifers having wart on different parts of body in an organized cattle farm. The major aim of the study was to determine the cure rate of papillomatosis in cattle after four weeks using different treatment regimen i.e. Thuja, Anthiomaline and prepared autogenous vaccine.
