Photocatalytic degradation proficiency was studied for bromothymol blue dye. Phytochemicals-coated Nickel Oxide nanoparticles demonstrated antibacterial properties against bacteria (gram negative strain of E. coli, Pseudomonas spp. and gram positive strain of Bacillus spp.) by showing highest zone of inhibition (19 mm, 22 mm, 15 mm).the antioxidant activity of the synthesized nanoparticles were also examined and the result show that the fabricated nanoparticles exhibited significant radical scavenging activity.

A new spectrophotometric method was established for the determination of nimodipine (NMD) in pharmaceutical formulations. This method is based on the formation of a yellow ion-pair complex between the reduced nimodipine and bromothymol blue (BTB) in an acidic medium.

The removal of bromothymol blue (BTB) from aqueous solution was studied by electrocoagulation (EC) technique using aluminum electrodes. The various experimental conditions known to influence the EC process were parameterized, including the effects of temperature, concentration, current density, pH, and treatment time. The results obtained have shown that optimum removal efficiency of 99.9% was realized at a current density of 20 mA/cm2 and pH of 4.7. The adsorption process showed a pseudo-first-order kinetic model as the best fit to the EC data.

In this research, some metal sulfide nanoparticles (NPs) including ZnS, CdS and CuS NPs were prepared by a simple and low-cost co-precipitation method for the photocatalytic degradation of Bromothymol blue dye (BTB) under natural sunlight irradiation. The synthesized materials were characterized by XRD, FT-IR, UV-vis DRS, PL, TGA, SEM and TEM techniques for the investigation of structural, electronic, thermal, and morphological properties.

In the present investigation, 235 quarter milk samples from 59 apparently healthy lactating buffaloes were collected to compare different diagnostic tests for detection of Sub-Clinical Mastitis (SCM) in Buffaloes. Out of 235 quarter milk samples, 17.02 per cent, 16.59 per cent, 16.17 per cent, 14.49 per cent, 14.46 per cent and 17.02 per cent quarters were tested positive for SCM by bromothymol blue (BTB) strip test, electrical conductivity (EC), California mastitis test (CMT), N-acetyl-β-D-glucosaminidase (NAG-ase), Somatic cell count (SCC) and Cultural Examination, respectively.

Healthy seeds of different varieties of rice (PD 6, NDR 359, PD 16 and PS 5) and wheat (UP 262, UP 2628, PBW 175 and UP 2554) were germinated and fourteen days after germination, young rice/wheat seedlings were transferred to half strength of Hogland solution (pH 7.0) containing either recommended levels of Zn (0.05 mg Zn L-1 ) or no Zn for four days. For solidification of medium 0.4% w/v agar- agar was mixed in the Hogland solutions of both –Zn and +Zn. Prior to solidification, 11.25 mL of 0.1% bromothymol blue dye solution prepared in 60 % ethanol and was mixed to agar nutrient solution.

A study was conducted to isolate and characterize the rhizobia from the root nodule of Dalbergia sissoo from five different sites of Himachal Pradesh (Bilaspur, Solan, Hamirpur, Kangra and Una) and Uttrakhand (Rishikesh, Nainital, Haridwar, Dehradun and Udham Singh Nagar). A total of 79 bacterial isolates were isolated from root nodule of Dalbergia sissoo on YEMA media after 3 days of incubation at 37˚C by serial dilution method.
