The first aim of this document is to present how buffer overflows work and may compromise a system or a network security, and to focus on some existing protection solutions. Finally, we will try to point out the most interesting sets to secure an environment, and compare them on criteria such as efficiency or performance loss.

Buffer preparation and storage requires a significant facility footprint in large scale bioprocessing and together with the costs of supply chain management can have a substantial economic impact. In-line buffer mixing in chromatography is commonly performed by blending different buffer solutions using at least two pumps and a static or dynamic mixer.

idae species found in the Turkish waters have not been documented. Flyingfish eggs were randomly obtained on 16 July 2016 on the coast of Gümüldür, at a depth of approximately 1 m from a sandy bottom. Samples were fixed in a 4% buffered formaldehyde solution. The eggs were described and illustrated. The diameters of spherical fish eggs were between 1.75 mm and 2.05 mm. They have bipolar filaments: a single filament on one pole and 28–33 filaments on the other pole.

Disposable sensors based on a pencil graphite electrode were described for detection of alkyl phenols. The performances of the disposable bare pencil graphite electrode (PGE) and PGE modified with carbon nanotubes, regarding the cyclic and differential pulse voltammetric determination of 4-nonylphenol, 4-octylphenol, and 4-tert-octylphenol, were compared. Some experimental variables of the electrode surface pretreatment and measurement parameters were optimized. Using a phosphate buffer solution (pH 7.

The electrochemical oxidation of 2,6-diaminopurine (2,6-DAP) was studied in pH 7.4 phosphate buffer solution on multiwall carbon nanotube modified glassy carbon electrode (MWCNT/GCE) over a temperature range of 20 to 50 ◦ C using cyclic voltammetry. 2,6-DAP oxidation on MWCNT/GCE showed a well-defined and irreversible oxidation peak at about 0.72 V vs. Ag/AgCl at pH 7.4. The oxidation potential of 2,6-DAP linearly varied with pH over the range of 3.0 to 10.0 with a slope of –0.0547 V/pH, implying that 2 protons were accompanied by 2 electrons transferred in the electrochemical reaction.

A simple and sensitive modified electrode was fabricated with graphene via the drop-casting method and applied for the electrochemical detection of Sudan IV. Cyclic voltammetry (CV) was used to investigate the electrochemical behaviors of Sudan IV in phosphate buffer solution (PBS). The experimental conditions such as determining medium, scan rate, and accumulation time were optimized for the determination of Sudan IV.

The results showed that 95.7% of the response current was retained after 17 activity assays. The ethanol biosensor gave perfect reproducible finding with 4.6% relative standard deviation. The prepared biosensor retained 55.8% of initial activity after 24 days when stored in 0.1 M phosphate buffer solution at 4 ◦ C. Effects of the several possible interfering substances such as ascorbic acid, citric acid, and methanol on the ethanol biosensor were investigated and the developed biosensor was tested in alcoholic beverages.

The present paper describes the use of a disposable pencil graphite electrode (PGE) for the voltammetric determination of famotidine. Cyclic voltammetric studies using different supporting electrolytes emphasized an irreversible oxidation of famotidine on the PGE. The electrode process is diffusion-controlled and pH-dependent. Differential pulse voltammetry (DPV) in phosphate buffer solution of pH 6.81 was employed for famotidine’s quantitative determination.

A pencil graphite electrode (PGE) was used for the simultaneous detection of ascorbic acid (AA), norepinephrine (NE), and uric acid (UA) by differential pulse voltammetry and cyclic voltammetry. The anodic peaks of AA, NE, and UA in their mixture can be well separated in 0.1 M Britton–Robinson buffer solution at pH 4.0. The effects of various experimental parameters such as pH, scan rate, and voltammetric parameters on the voltammetric response of these compounds were investigated.

Voltammetric behaviors of six nitro-substituted benzamides, which are potential prodrug candidates for nitroreductase-based cancer therapy, were investigated using cyclic voltammetry (CV) and differential pulse voltammetry (DPV). The electrochemical behavior of aromatic nitro (ArNO2) compounds by CV indicates that compounds involve various reduction/oxidation steps including the formation of aromatic nitro radical, nitroso, hydroxylamine, and amine groups.

In this study, a zinc(II) phthalocyanine compound (PcZn) substituted with octakis phenoxyacetamide was synthesized and characterized. Calf thymus DNA (CT-DNA) was used to determine the DNA binding properties of the zinc(II) phthalocyanine compound. This interaction of CT-DNA with PcZn was investigated using electronic absorption spectra, emission spectroscopy, a thermal melting temperature study, cyclic voltammetry, and viscosity measurements in a Tris-HCl buffer solution at a pH of 7.2.

The affinity of irbesartan (IRB) to form inclusion complexes with β-cyclodextrin (β-CD), hydroxypropylβ-cyclodextrin (HP-β -CD), and γ-cyclodextrin (γ-CD) was investigated in aqueous buffered solutions at pH 1.7, 4.1, and 7.0. Analysis of the UV absorption-pH profiles revealed that IRB has two pKa values: pKa1 = 3.60 (imidazolinone ring moiety) and pKa2 = 4.70 (tetrazole moiety). In the presence of 5.0 mmol L−1β-CD, the tetrazole moiety became more acidic, indicating its inclusion within the β-CD cavity.

Azo-hydrazone/phenol-keto tautomerism and solvatochromism were investigated. Studying their sensing ability towards cations (Co2+, Cu2+, Zn2+, Ni2+, Pb2+, Cd2+, Mn2+, Fe3+, Cr3+, and Al3+), high sensitivity and selectivity were recorded for Fe3+ by naked eye and UV-Vis spectra in DMF-aqueous HEPES buffer (v:v, 1:1, pH 6.8).
