An investigation was carried out to study the effect of intercropping crops (knol khol and broad bean) on growth, physiological aspects and yield of Cabbage. Sole crop of Cabbage was grown and between the inter-row spaces knol khol/broad bean was intercropped in single/double row planting. Spacing of 60 x 30 cm between cabbage and 30 x 30 cm for knol khol and 30 x 20 cm for broad bean was adopted.

A study was undertaken to evaluate the compatibility of commonly used fungicides at recommended dosages with T. viride and T. harzianum being used as a biocontrol agents against soil borne diseases of tomato and cabbage under in vitro and in vivo conditions. Results indicated that among systemic fungicides, Azoxystrobin was found highly compatible with T. viride and T. harzianum at all the three tested concentrations (0.05, 0.10 and 0.15 %) followed by Metalaxyl. With respect to non-systemic fungicides, Mancozeb recorded least inhibitory effect on Trichoderma sp.

Field experiment was conducted at College Farm, College of Agriculture, PJTSAU, Rajendranagar, Hyderabad during kharif and rabi (2013-2014) with brinjal – cabbage cropping system in Randomized Block Design with seven treatments replicated thrice. The treatments include recommended dose of potassium along with different combinations of potassium were applied keeping in view the K – fixing capacity of the soil (0, 60, 73.5, 87, 100.5, 114, 127.5 kg K2O ha-1 ). With increase in level of potassium yield and the quality parameter ascorbic acid content increased.
