The main source of exercises for consolidation and practice is the text book. It is important to check that the examples in the exercises are graded from easy to difficult and that students don’t start with the hardest examples.

The concept called “lean management” or “lean thinking” is most commonly associated with Japanese manufacturing, particularly the Toyota Production System (TPS). Much of the TPS way of thinking is based on the work of quality guru W.
