Cation sensors

In the present paper, the fluorescence sensor based on Schiff base and boric acid was developed for easy and rapid detection of L-tryptophan in different samples such as milk and bovine serum albumin. The photoluminescence intensity was measured by using fluorescent measurements and the results indicated that the developed fluorescent sensor was exhibited selective, sensitive, reliable determination against L-tryptophan, and a series of various analytes such as cations, amino acids, and organic compounds were used to investigate the selectivity of the fluorescent chemosensor.

Polydentate, unsymmetrical, and multi metal ion sensing Schiff bases comprised of ferrocenecarboxaldehyde attached azomethine group at one side and aromatic aldehyde linked imine on the other side have been synthesized. Cumulative addition of different metal salts solution to receptors solution, changes the electronic spectra contrarily and for the addition of Cu2+ ions, generation of MLCT charge transfer band responsible for the coordination of metal ion with a receptor is observed.

The molecular mechanism of the presynaptic neurotoxicity of snake venom phospholipases A2(PLA2s) is not yet fully elucidated. Recently, newhigh-affinity binding proteins for PLA2 toxins have been discovered, including the important intracellular Ca 2+ sensor, calmodulin (CaM). In the present study, the mode of interaction of group IIAPLA2swiththe Ca 2+ -bound form of CaM was investigated by mutational analysis of ammodytoxin A (AtxA) from the long-nosed viper (Vipera ammodytes ammodytes).

Query processing in the original TinyDB implementation works as follows. The query is input on the user’s PC, or basestation. This query is optimized to improve execution; currently, TinyDB only considers the order of selection predicates during optimization (as the existing version does not support joins). Once optimized, the query is translated into a sensor-network specific format and injected into the network via a gateway node.

Endovanilloids are defined as endogenous ligands of the transient receptor potential vanilloid type 1 (TRPV1) protein,a nonselective cation channel that belongs to the large family of TRP ion channels,and is activated by the pungent ingredient of hot chilli peppers,capsaicin. TRPV1 is expressed in some nociceptor efferent neurons, where it acts as a molecular sensor of noxious heat and low pH. However,the presence of these channels in var-ious regions of the central nervous system,where they are not likely to be targeted by these noxious stimuli,suggests the existence of endovanilloids.
