Establishment of sister chromatid cohesion N-acetyltransferase 2 (ESCO2) is involved in the mitotic S-phase adhesins acetylation and is responsible for bridging two sister chromatids. However, present ESCO2 cancer research is limited to a few cancers.

HLX01 (HanliKang®) is a rituximab biosimilar that showed bioequivalence to reference rituximab in untreated CD20-positive diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL) in the phase 3 HLX01-NHL03 study. Here, we report the 5-year follow-up results from the open-label extension part. Patients were randomised to either rituximab plus cyclophosphamide, doxorubicin, vincristine, and prednisone (R-CHOP) or HLX01 plus CHOP (H-CHOP) every 21 days for up to six cycles.

Ebook "p53 Protocols (Second edition)" expert researchers in the field detail many of the methods that address the challenging questions of the p53 field. These methods include the identification of the target genes and binding partners of gain of function p53 mutants, methods to determine stress response, autophagy or senescence induced by p53, cell cycle analysis, analysis of different phases of DNA replication modified by p53, and generation of pluripotent stem cells.

. In vitro biological evaluation revealed the most active compound 4d with an inhibitory concentration of 42.87 μM against K562 and 47.42 μM on A549 cells. The anticancer activity of this naphthylidene isoxazolidinedione derivative was evident by cell cycle and apoptosis assays, which showed arrest of the G2/M phase (65.6%) of the K562 cells and induction of apoptosis with 21.47% apoptotic cells as compared to 0.2% of untreated cells, respectively.

Ebook "Rb and tumorigenesis" examines how recent advances have demonstrated the interaction of Rb with chromatin remodeling enzymes. This new title explores the potential roles of these interactions in Rb functions and provides some evidence that distinct Rb co-repressor may target different genes in different phases of the cell cycle.

A majority of prostate cancer cells are in a non-proliferating, G0 (quiescent) phase of the cell cycle and may lie dormant for years before activation into a proliferative, rapidly progressing, disease phase. Many mechanisms which influence proliferation and quiescence choices remain to be elucidated, including the role of non-coding RNAs.

Thymidine kinase 1 (TK1) catalyzes the initial phosphorylation of thymidine in the salvage pathway synthesis of dTTP, an essential building block of DNA. TK1 is a cytosolic enzyme with its highest level during the S-phase of the cell cycle. In cancer cells TK1 is upregulated and excess TK1 is leaked into the blood.

This study aimed to estimate the effects of simulated microgravity (SMG) on mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs). The 3D clinostat was applied to induce to simulated microgravity on MSC. The results showed that the MSC density in control group was higher than the SMG group. The cell cycle analysis demonstrated that the MSC ratio in G0/G1 phase in SMG group was higher than that of the control group, while the MSC ratio in S phase and G2/M phase in SMG group was lower than those of the control group.

Flagella have been lost in the vegetative phase of the diatom life cycle, but they are still present in male gametes of centric species, thereby representing a hallmark of sexual reproduction. This process, besides maintaining and creating new genetic diversity, in diatoms is also fundamental to restore the maximum cell size following its reduction during vegetative division. Nevertheless, sexual reproduction has been demonstrated in a limited number of diatom species, while our understanding of its different phases and of their genetic control is scarce.

Chapter 13 - Meiosis and sexual life cycles. This chapter presents the following content: Somatic cell and gamete, autosome and sex chromosomes, haploid and diploid; describe the events that characterize each phase of meiosis; describe three events that occur during meiosis I but not mitosis; name and explain the three events that contribute to genetic variation in sexually reproducing organisms.

The present study investigated how mouse fibroblasts changed under microgravity (SMG) conditions (< 10-3 G) simulated by 3D clinostat. Results showed that SMG condition markedly reduced the proliferation of mouse fibroblasts, significantly reducing the nuclear area and intensity. Compared to the control group, the mouse fibroblasts ratio of the SMG group was higher in the G0/G1 phase but lower in the S phase and G2/M phase...

Protein function in eukaryotic cells is often controlled in a cell cycle-dependent manner. Therefore, the correct assignment of cellular phenotypes to cell cycle phases is a crucial task in cell biology research. Nuclear proteins whose localization varies during the cell cycle are valuable and frequently used markers of cell cycle progression.

Patients with dedifferentiated or anaplastic thyroid carcinomas currently lack appropriate treatment options. Kinase inhibitors are among the most promising new agents as alternative strategies. The BRAF- and multi-kinase inhibitor, sorafenib, has already shown antitumor effects in thyroid carcinoma patients in a phase III clinical trial.
