Inaccurate colposcopy diagnosis may lead to inappropriate management and increase the incidence of cervical cancer. This study aimed to evaluate the diagnostic accuracy of colposcopy in the detection of histologic cervical intraepithelial neoplasia grade 2 or worse (CIN2+) in women with transformation zone type 3 (TZ3).

Colposcopy plays an essential role in diagnosing cervical lesions and directing biopsy; however, there are few studies of the capabilities of colposcopists in medically underserved communities in China. This study aims to fill this gap by assessing colposcopists’ competencies in medically underserved communities of China.

The single-visit strategy, also known as the “screen-and-treat” approach, is widely used to screen for cervical cancer in low- and middle-income countries. The screen-and-treat approach leads to unnecessary or inadequate treatment.

Cervical cancer is the fourth most common cancer among women worldwide, both for incidence and mortality. Prevention relies on screening with a Pap test to detect precancerous lesions, which can then be treated. Access to this screening is currently both improvable and inequitable.

Despite several preventative and control measures Ethiopia continues to see an increase in cervical cancer. Comprehensive evidence is very important to suggest ministry of health. Therefore, the aim of this study is to estimate the pooled violence of Precancerous Cervical Lesion and to identify associated factors among women living with HIV AIDS in Ethiopia.

The etiology of medullary infarction may remain unexplained in nearly 30–40% of cases. Even if rare, cocaine-induced ischemic myelopathy should be considered and ruled out in the differential diagnosis of any acute nontraumatic myelopathy, especially in young patients.

Rosai–Dorfman disease is a rare benign histiocytic disorder characterized in most cases by painless cervical adenopathy. Less than 10% of extranodal cases involve bony lesions. Primary bone Rosai–Dorfman disease in the absence of nodal disease is extremely rare.

Human papillomavirus (HPV) has been confirmed as a major causative factor for malignant transformation of cervical epithelial cells and for the development of cervical intraepithelial neoplasia (CIN) and invasive cervical cancer. We carried out this study to investigate the association of different HPV genotypes and ages with immediate histological cervical lesions in opportunistic screening patients in a single center.

Women living with HIV are at increased risk of developing cervical cancer (CC). Screening for cancer is an important preventive strategy for the early detection of precancerous lesions and its management. This study aimed to assess the prevalence and predictors of CCS among HIV-positive women, as well as knowledge and practices regarding cervical cancer screening.

Methylation levels may be associated with and serve as markers to predict risk of progression of precancerous cervical lesions. We conducted an epigenome-wide association study (EWAS) of CpG methylation and progression to high-grade cervical intraepithelial neoplasia (CIN2+) following an abnormal screening test.

DNA methylation is an essential factor in the progression of cervical intraepithelial neoplasia (CIN) to cervical cancer. The aim was to investigate the diagnostic value provided by methylation biomarkers of six tumor suppressor genes (ASTN1, DLX1, ITGA4, RXFP3, SOX17 and ZNF671) for cervical precancerous lesions and cervical cancer.

Colposcopic examination with biopsy is the standard procedure for referrals with abnormal cervical cancer screening results; however, the decision to biopsy is controvertible. Having a predictive model may help to improve high-grade squamous intraepithelial lesion or worse (HSIL+) predictions which could reduce unnecessary testing and protecting women from unnecessary harm.

Colposcopy is an important tool in diagnosing cervical cancer, and the International Federation of Cervical Pathology and Colposcopy (IFCPC) issued the latest version of the guidelines in 2011. This study aims to systematically assess the accuracy of colposcopy in predicting low-grade squamous intraepithelial lesions or worse (LSIL+) / high-grade squamous intraepithelial lesions or worse (HSIL+) under the 2011 IFCPC terminology.

Cervical cancer is a public health problem. It is one of the leading causes of death in women worldwide and the second leading cause of female cancer-related deaths. Cervical cancer screening enables the detection of abnormal cervical cells, including precancerous cervical lesions, as well as early-stage cervical cancer.

This article aims to describe the clinical features of a demyelinating lesion in the medullary and cervical spinal cord junctions with a first symptom of neck pain misdiagnosed as acute stroke. The patient was initially misdiagnosed as ischemic stroke through stroke-like onset, clinical manifestations, physical examination, and brain computed tomography (CT); but the patient’s symptoms were not completely consistent with typical physical examination of stoke.

In the presence of the uterus, it is rare that vaginal intraepithelial neoplasia (VAIN) alone exists. We described our experience with a case in which VAIN3 was found in the vaginal fornix without lesions in the uterine cervix. She had cervical intraepithelial neoplasm (CIN) 1 several years ago.
