Maize is one of the most important cereal crops in India contributing significantly towards food and nutritional security. The experiment was carried out to study the effect of nitrogen levels and plant growth regulator (PGR) on plant dry weight, crop growth rate (CGR) and yield attributes in maize crop. The experiment was conducted during Rabi season of 2019-20 at Crop Research Farm, Department of Agronomy, Naini Agricultural Institute, SHUATS, Prayagraj (U.P.).

A field experiment was conducted with 4 nitrogen and 4 spacing levels in factorial randomized block design with three replications. Maximum leaf area, chlorophyll content, AGR and fresh and dry yield per plant were recorded when the crop was applied with 80 kg N/ha with a spacing of 20 x 10 cm (N4S1) whereas the plant spaced at 20 x 10 cm (S1) recorded maximum CGR, LAI, fresh and dry yield per hectare under the Northern dry zone of Karnataka.

The experiment has been conducted on the experimental field of Indira Gandhi Krishi Vishwavidyalaya, Raipur under split-split plot design along with three replications in the year 2010-11 and 2011-12 during the Rabi season in potato crops (Solanum tuberosum). Irrigation (three treatments) as a main plot, weed management (four treatments) as a sub plot and Integrated Nutrient Management (INM) (four treatments) has been taken as subsub plot in the spacing of 60x20cm on the variety Chipsona-2. The crop phenology, growth and productivity are strongly influenced by changing the cropping season. The kharif (June-Oct.) is the major groundnut- growing season. The CGR is higher in kharif crop than rabi season crop, but the average per day dry matter production is similar in both the seasons. Flowering and fruiting, in groundnut, are of an indeterminate type, which generally has an effect on yield and quality. Ideal type of groundnut would be one that sets all its young fruits within 4-5 days and spends the rest of the growing season filling them.

A field experiment was conducted during Kharif 2010-11 at the Main Agricultural Research Station, University of Agricultural Sciences, Dharwad to study the response of secondary treated distillery spentwash on physiological and quality parameters of Bt cotton under rainfed condition. Result indicated that application of 1.5 N through distillery spentwash significantly increased the total dry matter production (339.7 g plant-1 ), leaf area (51.3 dm2 plant-1 ), LAI (0.95), good opened bolls plant-1 (31.2) and yield (2566.1 kg ha-1 ), but was on par with 1 N through spentwash.

The experiment was taken up at Horticultural Research station, Orissa University of Agriculture and Technology, Bhubaneswar, Orissa during Rabi season for the year 2013 & 2014. 500 seeds of variety Utkal Kumari (BT-10) were taken and subjected to single and combined mutagenic treatment as per the specification. Seedlings of the fifteen treatments were transplanted following Randomised Block Design (RBD) with three replications. Leaf area (dm2 /plant), Total Dry matter and chlorophyll content were measured 30, 60 and 75 days of transplanting.

A field experiment was conducted during 2016 and 2017 at Instructionalcum-Research (ICR) Farm of Assam Agricultural University, Jorhat to work out the optimum irrigation scheduling on the transplanted autumn rice with alternate wetting and drying technology. In both the years, irrigation at 15 cm depletion of water from soil surface gave the highest grain yield and straw yield.

An experiment was conducted in factorial Randomized Block Design (FRBD) with three replications and twelve treatments. The allocation of treatments to the individual plots was done using random numbers in each replication. The corms were planted on 17 Oct. 2015.
